Review of chapter "Episode 7: The Other Shoe" from Zealot
Review:
Excellent chapter!

Although I *sincerely* hope that despite Xander's loud declarations, he will be able do do exactly *nothing* against Fate.
Comments from author:
Fate itself will be unharmed in even the slightest. As he himself said, all he's going to be is the biggest tiny little annoyance he can.

I'm trying to make clear that humans simply cannot understand the perspective of these beings - they see many, many more things, can be in more places, etc, than us. Xander is starting to make and will continue make big waves in the context of his own life and that of his friends and the people around him, but in the grand scheme of things, it really is like taking a teaspoon of water in an ocean and dropping it into one of the Great Lakes or something. So no, Xander won't do anything to fate itself. He will force them to plan around him, and over turn those plans, but to Fate, the plans involving his friends and the Hellmouth in Sunnydale in general are minor ones, comparatively.

I kind of wonder if a "lowly mortal" is able to request an audit from the Boss In Charge for possible violations of free will...

Review of chapter "Episode 7: The Other Shoe" from JonnyNapalm
Review:
Interesting approach to Xander's father. The extradimensional characters that are getting themselves involved are all such 'big picture' types. They seem to forget that for want of a shoe...a kingdom can be lost. And Xander? He'd be happy to take the shoe they need and run off with it. Glad to see life hasn't stolen all the momentum from this story though. Hope you find time for more...but should you not...we understand and appreciate the work you DO do.
Comments from author:
My life has mostly stabalized, and I'm back in the rythym of writing, so output should be back to my normal 1 chapter a week, for the four fics I do as the goal, give or take a day or two

Oh man you just made me grin and laugh like the JOKER.
The pricks that be, are in for a much ruder awakening I'll bet.
Comments from author:
Fate and the PTB are differant beings. The PTB have differant plans than Fate and use differant means to achieve them.

Good to see Buffy's as retarded and arrogant here as she ever was in canon! Cordy's showing her usual hidden intelligence..

This is a fantastic story! I love xander/codry stories, can't wait to read more!
I love the choas and fate dynamics, I have no idea how far this story will go and am going to ask about some future characters nd they're stories. Or more precisely, is there any way you can swing one of my favorite pairings? Tara/spike? I know its way to early for thinking of these charcters and I think that your writing style would be awesome for them.
Anywho no matter where this fic goes its well done, so thanks!

Review of chapter "Episode 5: No Answers" from Rycon
Review:
One thing I've been wondering about the incident around Homecoming, where in this story Faith was stuck with Buffy being chased instead of Cordelia accidentally getting involved. Since both Slayers where involved in "Slayerfest 98" did the one male vampire, Lyle Gorch, survive as in canon, or did Faith or Buffy end up sending him to join his wife in a hell dimension? Not that he was a major problem, but considering he was the only other major villian in that episode who had ever been involved against Buffy before, figure it might be nice if Xander's changes of Fate resulted in Lyle meeting his fate, so to speak.

*shrug* dunno.

Review:
Very nice story so far. I like the idea of Fate and Chaos having a roll in the story, and giving Xander some advantages he never had in canon, without necessarily turning him into some sort of gary stu type character or a deus ex machina type character. You've kept the changes small, and they are having a noticeable impact, but nothing extremely drastic either.

Only big issue right now that I wonder about, how will Xander and Cordelia's continued relationship effect things down the line, into season 4 time and if/when Angel goes to LA. Not having Cordelia around could be a blow to Angel, especially of Doyle is killed. That being said, what if Cordelia and Xander both end up in LA.

On the other hand, if Cordelia sticks around and stays with Xander, any chance that Anya might somehow join with Angel at some point? Someone like her might be far better at handling visions from the Power That Be.
Comments from author:
All possibilities. I can't spoil. :P

Thanks for the reivew! I'm glad you like it. And I especially agree with your view on not making Xander too powerful/Stuish. That was what led me to write this - make Xander the agent of fixficness, but without too much power or, even worse TOO much future knowledge all at once.
