I remember reading the first part of this then I lost track of the story...nice to know it was continued! I look forward to the next chapter. I just adore a good NCIS/Buffy cross!

Oh Gibbs you suspicious bastard, how I love you. Can't wait to see what happens when he finds out about Christina and what Faith decides to tell him about everything. Of course any answers she can give will just bring up more questions :) I'm excited for the next update!

Review:
If Faith's Slayerness is getting her to stay in prison so she can get a letter from Gibbs then it must be important! It sounds like he will have a lot of questions though, and not only will Faith probably not want to answer them, but she will not be able to give him a good answer to most of them. Unless she wants to be transferred straight from the prison to a mental hospital! She could try to play it off as classified government business instead of supernatural stuff perhaps. Perhaps she could hint that those "guardians" were training her as a government assassin or spy and she isn't at liberty to talk about it. That would at least give her a reason for not answering questions. But then again Faith isn't known for her subtlety and we know that something being classified above his pay grade is not going to stop Gibbs digging around either! Maybe Faith could send a sample of her blood back with her return letter so he can get started on that DNA thing. That would show some trust.

Review:
I wonder if Dormer's murder is still 'open and unsolved' -I'm surprised they didn't try to charge Faith for that one, too. Anyway--first murder (Deputy mayor) --accidental, no question. The one that really is a problem is the hit on the prof. of archaeology-that was a straight up contract kill, premeditated, for money. Ouchie. Then again with the supernatural involved, there are huge mitigating circumstances involved. I'm surprised there wasn't an investigation of Sunnydale municipal corruption-she did it all for the mayor after all. He supplied her with an apartment and everything. Moving on. Poor Gibbs. I wonder if him visiting/making inquiries will come to Kate Lockley's attention. Also-I was glad to see the question of 'when did Faith know Buffy died, did anyone suggest she might be needed' was dealt with.

That was the Gibbs I saw on the few NCIS shows I've watched. And now we have a nice time-line to when this story is taking place. Good writing incorporating them both into the flow of the story!

Really enjoying this so far! Great premise. One thing that surprised me a bit is that Gibb's letter didn't mention anything about only recently having gotten her letter instead of sitting on it for two years--but he probably figured she'd get that with the vague address.

I like it! It's not something that's been done to death, and both of them are a little skeptical of the other, as opposed to "oh, I'm so happy to find you!" Looking forward to seeing how you answer all the questions this brings up, and how the two of them will react to each other in person. Of course, we're rapidly approaching a time when Faith is going to have to no longer be incarcerated. That might be a bit tough for Daddy to swallow, provided he does turn out to be the dad.
