I LOVED it. In fact, my only concern as I was reading it was "oh no, if they take him with them, then the fat space folk will never retake the Earth!", so the part about him being this world's champion was very awesomely thought through. Great read :)

Let's see, there's a vampire mystically hibernating because all his happy meals left the planet a very long time ago, until he wakes up with the smell of sweet human blood again in his nose, leaves his deep cave one night at full slavering run towards the new lights in the ruined city, and then meets a certain little robot who can tell right away this air-temperature, unbreathing being with no heartbeat isn't at all a huuuuuuuman...

Cute story. I liked WALL-E's confusion about shaking hands vs. holding hands and his quirky ways of referring to each of the humans.

So, if WALL-E is that world's Champion, I'm guessing EVE is the champion's protector.
