“That doesn’t make it right.” -- ??? I say it does. Saving those you love certainly justifies killing.
Anyway, this was a very funny crossover.
Comments from author:
As a witch, Lily is probably a believer in the Threefold Rule -- any harm you do returns to you threefold, and even if you kill because you "must", that means it'll return to you threefold as well. Or maybe she just doesn't like killing. Lily is not a violent person in general.
Thanks for reading the story, and for reviewing it. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
This was just lovely. I love all your stories, but it was nice to someone who's not normally on the front lines get into a situation and not use front lines tactics. Very realistic (well, as real as something with witches, slayers, zombies and melon-pults can be) and very beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
Comments from author:
Lately I've been aiming for realism in my stories. I recently wrote a book (original) and in it I tried to lampshade as many superhero cliches as I could. This story may have contributed to that.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for reviewing.

Kinda sad to hear that there's only one chapter left, but I didn't suppose that this story would be a long one.
To answer your question, no, there aren't many moble-game crossovers - but I think I've come across one or two before. And as I don't remember anything about them beyond that vague "think" - this one is sure to be much more memorable.
Thanks for writing!

Thanks for reading and thanks for reviewing.
All the "On" series stories I'm posting right now are short ones -- I haven't even outlined the next long one yet. But it's in my brain, percolating. Sort of. Right now, if I do write fanfic, it's the sequel to "Dreaming of How It Was Going to Be".
As somebody who's also put a Plants vs. Zombies story on here ("Andrew, Andrew, How Does Your Garden Grow?"), it's nice to see another author join in. Two questions, though:
1. Is the Yeti Zombie going to show up?
2. Are you also eagerly waiting for the new Plants vs. Zombies 2 coming out next year?

Thanks for reviewing.
I hadn't planned for the yeti zombie -- he didn't really fit the plot. And I am definitely interested in PvZ2, but I'm not uber-eager or anything. I'm sure I'll buy it when it comes out, though.

Great work! It is amazing what you can squeeze into a crossover if you really try! I always feel satisfyingly friendly to the environment when I see the zombie hordes crumble before the might of my plants :)

Thanks for reviewing. I'm glad you're enjoying the story. The A/N at the end will explain why I chose this crossover. I can only imagine what justice I might do to Angry Birds... I really should've crammed in an AB cameo, but I totally didn't think of it.

I've not really played the game, but I am aware of it, and my eyes nearly bulged out of my head when I realized what this was. Even better, after that realization, this is a great start to a story too. Possibly the best moble-game crossover I've encountered.
Thanks for writing!

I think it would've been less of a surprise if the category I requested from the mods was in there already -- but I suppose it's a good thing that it isn't, because it gets people reading who might not otherwise.
You say the "best mobile game crossover" -- are there that many? I should look around.
Thanks for reviewing; I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far.
