Review of chapter "Movements" from deathgeonous
Review:
Ah, and this is so good and fun. Oh, and as to your answers to my last review of this fic, I don't see the need for a rewrite, I think you should keep the Stray Little Devil stuff, and while you may have been... influenced by Divine Blood, I don't see much similarities in the plots of the two fics, so I think you're good there. Well, thanks for writing this again, and yet again, I'm seriously looking forward to more of this, goodbye for now.

Thank you, deathgeonous

I'm finally just making some minor style changes and fleshing out a little more a point or another. In matter of influences, I have started to lean more towards the RPGs In Nomine Satanis / Magna Veritas and Nephilim: Revelation. This will allow me to avoid the 'Divine Blood' issue.

I've started to post the revised chapters on Fanfiction.net and will replace them on tth once chapter 6 is ready.

I took a look see at your reviews before rereading this, mainly to see if I could get an idea if and when this would be updated by way of your replies. I didn't see anything on that, but, I do understand now why it's been so long. Mixing 'real' mythology and demonology with the mythology and demonology of Oh, My Goddess, which is to say practically none, I can see how that could be quite the hard task. Well, hopefully you'll get it right and down sooner then latter, so that we, your loyal readers, can have more of this fic. Anywho, thanks for writing this, and goodbye for now.
Comments from author:
Sorry for the delay in replying this. I took a few weeks off writing during the end-of-year break.

I have quite a few ideas for this story but they also depend on a decision to rewrite part of the existing chapters. Mostly, I would like remove the crossover with Stray Little Devil to only keep AMG.

Another problem that I have with this story is that it was influenced by Divine Blood written by Thrytlind and that I often ask myself if it is different enough.

So, it's not dead and I took some measures to have more time to write in the next months.

Very neat story, wishing for continuation. ^_^
Comments from author:
Thank you Spica.

It's in the works but I'm afraid not near completion at the point. I'm having some difficulties with merging the background of Ah! My Goddess with classical mythology/demonology

Planning of the second arc of this story is underway. This background work is one of the reasons I didn't publish anything recently

Review of chapter "Movements" from Zechstein
Review:
First of all, I like this story. I wouldn't have taken the time to write this review otherwise. The characterization is really good and the characters coming to terms with their 'other selves' is hilarious at times, especially with Cordelia. I really hope that you keep Mr. Dillon as a recurring character as I thought it was a shame that he was killed off after just one episode in canon.

What bothers me with this story though is the blatant hypocrisy of the OMG gods and demons. They look down on the Powers for disrespecting free will, but then turn around and do the exact same thing to the inhabitants of Sunnydale. They are even worse because the Powers never tampered with anyone’s mind while Hild essentially brainwashed her victims into thinking that everything is as it should be so they would serve Joyce and Wilkins without question. And when Buffy complains that her life was once again turned upside down without any consideration for her wishes and dreams, she is basically told to suck it up because there is nothing she can do about it.

In the end I'm therefore not convinced that the new regime would be better than the old one, especially with a man like Richard Wilkins in charge of heaven. I don't say that redemption isn't possible, but we all are the sum of our experiences and choices and he is still the man who choose on his own free will to feed newborn babies to a giant snake for personal gain. To regard him as redeemed just because he now bears the memories of another man seems to be a bit much...

That being said I still hope that you will continue this story, because an interesting conflict doesn't require one side being 'right,' just that all sides think that they are. With the PtB, the Sunnydale Gods/Demons, the Vatican, the Watchers, the Kalderash tribe, Mireille, Kirika and the various factions within 'Les Soldats' you've got a veritable array of morally ambiguous groups and ancient conspiracies to pit against each other, which should be highly entertaining.

So, that's it from me. Take care and have fun, until next time.

Thanks Zechstein

As things are calmer job-side, I finally have time to work on my fics again. This one is in the works.

Mr Dillon/Belial is here to stay. As you may have guessed the who's who of the Sunnydale demons follow roughly the classic demonology (one of my main sources is the "Dictionnaire Infernal" from Collin de Plancy)

The way I see things for this story, the gods and demons of AMG are a lot like the Vorlons and the Shadows from Babylon 5. Each species has its own ideas on what's good and the humans are stuck in the middle of their influence war. None of them, though holds any absolute truth. Each system has its good and its bad sides though neither the gods nor the demons will readily acknowledge the latter (just as the East and West blocs during the Cold War).

I see Odin being a lot like Ozymandias in the Watchmen comics. He aims for the greater good but he's not afraid of breaking some eggs in the process. I consider this canon as one can remember he was ready to kill Urd rather than let Fenris loose. What will happen to the being born of the mix of Odin with Wilkins remains to be seen.

On a final note, I love morally ambiguous things. In another fic, I had Buffy say: Dark is not evil and light is not good.

Review of chapter "Family matters" from xon
Review:
About Reiko 'Amaterasu' Tsujimoto... I'm wondering how Japan's Imperial Family will react to her.

After all, they claim direct descent from Amaterasu and, as far as I know, their bloodline has never been attacked or cut even once.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review, xon

Not that I know either. The line is supposed to be uninterrupted all the way to Jimmu Tenno who was himself descended from Amaterasu.

The reaction of the Imperial family remains to be seen and will depend on how much she can prove her claim. The same goes for her brother Susano-O

Review of chapter "The Demon and The Slayer" from firedragonboy
Review:
The story is well done. the one thing that iI was wondering about is why Buffy isnt concerned about Joyce/Hild abandoning her and Dawn the minute Willow/Urd needs or acknowledges her? Mara's memories might make that happen. that's my thoghts. so you have no need to pay any atention to this. the story is great as it is under you. so keep up the good work.
Comments from author:
Thanks, firedragonboy

I reasoned like this:

a) The first question Buffy is asking herself is what's the Joyce/Hild ratio in the composite being she became.

b) Even if Joyce is almost pure Hild, Mara knows exactly how scheming, possessive and overbearing Hild is (enough to put the most traditional of Mafiosi to shame). Buffy therefore plans on the fact that if Hild did not stop trying to convert Urd after centuries or even millennia, she will not abandon her other daughters, an action that would negate any effort to convert Willow.

c) Joyce is actually spending quality time with them and gave Buffy her word that they were still a family. And Hild told once to Keiichi (when Urd called her to undo Whelsper's curse): my word is law.
