Woo! A Joyce fic!!!! Oh you can't know how happy this has made me. I'm only relatively new to SOA (just saw the second ep yesterday) and I love what you're doing with the fic so far. There really aren't enough Joyce fics out there and it's nice to see one which is so original. Can't wait for more!!! Laney
Fantastic story. There are only a few SOA Buffy crossovers, and you're doing an excellent job. I love how you're slowly changing and butterflying Buffy's personality. I see you rated it '18', and considering the age that Buffy and the kids are, i fully expect to see a few time jumps and Buffy, as a 'bad-ish' girl experimenting with sex (perhaps not going all the way- but underneath her prudish talk, she's always been rather wild (look at all the wild sex going on in s6 with Spike, hell, she was having sex all the time with Riley...)).
I'm truly curious as to whether or not you'll eventually bring in the Scoobies/have Buffy and Joyce move again in 3 years time, or if you're just going to Butterfly them away entirely- it would be interesting to see that- either way you do it.
I also can't wait to see how you'll play out Buffy becoming the slayer in 3 years time. Remember her first watcher was Merrick, Giles was her second watcher.
Opie, as a child, is a complete sweetheart. Hopefully growing up and being in a biker gang doesn't completely screw that part of him up.
Finally! A good, relationship building, moment between Joyce and Buffy. While I completely understood and supported Joyce's choice to not tell Buffy it's nice that they reached this moment of clarity. It'll be hard at first, but in the long run better for their relationship. Though a small part of me still feels bad for Hank because being a terrible husband doesn't always make you a terrible father. Regardless of what we saw, or should I say didn't see, of Hank in later seasons I still have a soft spot for the poor fella since when he had actual screen time he really did seem to care about his kid.
So I'm in full agreement with Gemma and want Joyce to hook up with Michael if only to live vicariously through her. :) That being said I actually liked Michael and think he'd be an interesting character to play off the others already present in the story.
I like the slow building friendship between Buffy and Jax. It should be interesting if only for the fact that both of them are so terribly hardheaded (or at least that's what I'm picking up from Jax in this story). I know he let it slip about Hank, which was no bueno, but I'm certain they can get past it. After Jax takes her ice skating or something else that Buffy takes great enjoyment in... though a small part of me wants to read about him and Opie on ice skates.
Ooh you did good. I love how Jax gets mad and told Buffy what her daddy did. It was so real. You get "hurt" and you strikes back. When you do it you already regret it. Really good how you wrote it. and Opie he was so sweet. Love the updates.
You know you are writing a crossover and in this kind of crossover it's not strange that Buffy is little different then she was in LA/Sunnydale. Her look on life will be more rougher than raised in LA, there she was well protected and didn't connect with the bad side. Here she will grow up in the middle of it. She will still be Buffy but her thinking will not be black and white but she will see the grey area also. She will not grow up as a innocent teenager. You already started it with the divorce, one moment everything is good and the other moment everything goes wrong. Jax showed her that not everything is how you believe it is. When she becomes the Slayer she already knows about how hard life can be and she will be a lot tougher and harder and she will learn much quicker how to survive.
Meddling in with both sides will give her inside how people think and act and why people do thinks they do. I only hope you don't make her the Buffy that will avoid fights with her friends and will do everything to please them. I really didn't like that. She changed in that after she came back from LA. brrrr never new how you can be that way. The spark was gone.
if you want to bring characters from Sunny hell please no Willow or Xander pretty, pretty please. Oz, Spike, Anya or even Wesley would be fun they would fit. I really didn't like Willow and Xander after Angel left. To me you don't have to bring any of them but if you want to please not those two.
owwwwww I did it again. Sorry I read the reviews before reviewing myself and then you get this.
Ok I'm done you can post the next one."lol"

I haven't read any of the other reviews, so I hope I'm not repeating too much! I think this fic has a lot of potential to go great places. I love mixing up the Whedonverse and SOA. Usually, I'm not a huge Buffy-centered fanfic reader, but I like the Buffy you've got going here and I see big potential for her and Opie! Only thing I wanted to point out is that Donna Winston wasn't Donna Winston when she was younger. Her last name became Winston when she married Opie Winston. Otherwise, this has been really good and I can't wait to read more! Thanks for sharing!

This is awesome! I've been waiting for a fic like this for a long time. I'm gonna agree with another reviewer and say I hope she doesn't become Buffybiker chick. I like the good girl with bad boys we've got so far. Opie's crush is so cute! Although I love his canon pairing, and hope you'll keep that intact. And maybe with Joyce and Buffy involved with the Sons, they might bring some of that morality they're missing. Or at least show the younger generation how good life can be without some of the bad stuff they deal with.
That said, I can't wait till Buffy is called! And even though I'm not a Buffy and Angel shipper, for some reason I really would like to see that pairing happen here. Angel looks like an easy to mess with yuppie,(at least in the early seasons) and it would be very amusing to show he is not. Although, now that I think about it, it might be more awesome if it were Spike! Oh geez, the possibilities!
That was a nice resolution. Joyce and Buffy really needed to clear the air about the whole Hank situation even in canon, and it was nice to see Opie do some damage control after Jax. Overall, a very good chapter.

Hey Luna, finally got some spare time and read through all five chapters,, and have to say that, even though I'm not at all familiar with the crossover show, you've made it very easy to follow who's who and what they're doing and what they're like.
I have a hard time picturing Buffy without Xander and Willow at her side, but it could possibly make the story less than it could end up being if you tried to force people into specific roles without sufficient justification for them being involved.
I have every confidence that whatever you intend to show us will be just as enjoyable as what's you've given us already, and I look forward to seeing what you have in store for Buffy and Joyce, as well as Gemma, Jax, Obie and the rest of the club.
Thanks for sharing this with us.

I am really loving your SOA voices. And your BtVS voices make sense when I remind myself of the shifts I have to do. I guess what I'm saying is that it's real, your writing. Kudos!

huh. I liked how the art students loved to hear about Joyce's gallery. I'd like to see her developing a few friendships in there; though it'll be interesting to see what her revenge plan is. Basically getting herself to be popular with everyone else, leaving the mean group isolated? This is all about 3 years before she gets all chosen... so this is all 'instead of' Hemery. Hopefully she'll become a somewhat better person. The divorce happening years earlier is also interesting. And wow, a librarian who does NOT work for the Council? How strange.
