Review:

Good set up, almost Shadowrun type awakening and a little advanced notice is always good. I'd let up on the guilt tho'. Seriously between food for demons and empowered and unknowing I know which one I'd choose.

Yep, you're quite right.

But Buffy seemed to almost enjoy the angsty dramatics. At least, That's what I took from her love affair with Angel, especially after she learned he was a vampire.

Looks good. I'm a bit confused on Xander. Is he a shapeshifter now? If not, does he have any powers in human form?

And as far as what, exactly, Xander can do now, that's going to be explored in the next couple stories. Remember, he seemed to be a sort of magic sponge, and picked up all sorts of things from most magical encounters he was involved in. ;-)
