Oh this was rather sad I do feel for him, to lose something he had so spoiled and cared for, someone that was such a constant in his life. Though I wonder how many people already saw that this might have been the outcome...

This is such a great story! I was definitely hoping you were going to post another story for the Bilbo's sister series. And this one is fantastic! I'll admit, I was all teary-eyed through out it.... but thats thanks in part to your exceptional writing. You really show the depth of love in Bilbo and Buttercups relationship. And of course with Thorin... he's such a dynamic character. He's not one of those stereotypical characters who are one dimensional... and I think his Pride is definitely his biggest strength and biggest flaw. I sincerely adored him in the movie, in fact, he has become one of my favorite characters. His sheer presence and charismatic character is what makes me ship him with Buttercup.

So I really really hope that you plan to continue on with this series... perhaps from Buttercup or Thorin's point of view? It seems a shame not to get to see different sides and scenes of their relationship.

I know for one Christmas you came out with the Buffy/Eomer story Traditions... any chance of a followup? As a Christmas present? Pretty please? :-)

Regardless, great work once again and I hope to read more as soon as possible since you happen to be one of my favorite writers. Happy Holidays!
