I kind of feel bad for Faith. Ok, out of jail, she's now "the" slayer, has a watcher. But this is the year when Willow goes off the rails completely. Assuming the same things happen as before. Although, a lot of what the Trio did was because Buffy was too depressed to act effectively. Faith might shut them down before they get very far.
So who knows, maybe Tara won't die. But Willow will still be a problem. Just not Buffy's problem. Maybe if Buffy is on hand to help, Angel's group won't do so badly? Fred dying, all that...

It feels so good to see good things happening to and for Buffy, and particularly to see how she's blooming while following her own path (and still helping lots of other folks along the way).

Glad you reposted this, it's a great beginning and I am looking forward to the rest of the story.

Without Dawn as the excuse for Willow and Tara taking over Buffy's house, Willow's mooching off of Buffy's finances while she was dead really seems even MORE egregious than it already did in canon. Nice work on Willow's descent into the dark side, and I'm glad to see Giles sticking up for Buffy, as he didn't quite manage to do in canon.

Oh, that last line has me cracking up. Right...Buffy needs *them*...like a stake through the heart. I think Sunnydale Syndrome has mutated into a different kind of denial here.

This is a pretty good start to this story and I hope you will continue this story. I always thought Buffy forgave Willow and Xander a little to easy thru out the show.

Have to agree with you on that, especially since they knew about the Dawn incident regarding bringing Joyce back, and should have known better.

And I see the bad 'mind control' magic coming from here. Please have Buffy buy a clue when she hears about the picture and protect herself magically.

Promise, she will catch more than a clue. It's about Buffy coming into her own and created her life according to her rules.
