The good news as far as the Council of Watchers is concerned, is that a rogue slayer has been eliminated. Hopefully (from their viewpoint), a proper slayer will be called.

The bad news is that the new slayer will probably remember what happened to her predecessor. Even if Buffy survives the ascension, I can't see the Council letting her get away with murder.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Studyofchaos
Wow, dark. Really good but very dark. You realize that this needs a follow up as the "Repercussions" have not even started?

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from (Current Donor)ayg
Nasty. Well written, yes, but really nasty.

I noticed that many of the other reviews talked about how Buffy would feel later and I agree that this will destroy her. What I wonder about is how Angel will feel when he wakes up with a dead Faith in his bed. Will he notice the knifewound and realize she was already dying? Or will he think that as a Slayer she could have recovered from the wound if he hadn't drained her? Is he going to think his own life was worth the death of a human? Will this permanently destroy any love he still felt for Buffy? Is he going to sink back into depression and "woe is me" self-pity? Or will the knowledge that Buffy loved him this much make him so happy that the soul goes bye-bye?
Comments from author:
I think Angel would figure out pretty quickly what happened, and he would be horrified. He was the one who genuinely tried to help Faith even when he had no real relationship with her like Buffy had, he was the one who looked at Faith and told her she had to fight what she was becoming and that she barely more than a child. He saw how she tried to manipulate and "steal" him from Buffy, yes, but he also saw her as a child who was losing herself to darkness, and I think if he realized Buffy had fed her to him he would not be able to forgive himself or Buffy. He won't be happy about it or think her death worth it at all, because he would probably think she still could have been saved because she had a human soul, whereas he doesn't deserve to live at all.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from CPTSkip
Wow! Great dark story, for a very twisted value of "great".

I don't think your Buffy would have been able to get over her murdering Faith. I think she would have been dead from a "mistake" while fighting a vamp or demon within just a few months. And I don't think the Scoobies would have held together because of the guilt and horror once the deed was done. Willow and Oz would have gone off to a collage somewhere far from Sunnydale and Xander might not have returned from his summer trip. The idea of a hero like Buffy feeding a Human to a vampire just horrifies me, even feeding a "bad" Faith to a "hero" such as Angel. All in all, you did a wonderful job with a true horror story.
Comments from author:
Question is, would she even survive a few months? I bet the Mayor would arrange a way to arrest her and the Scoobs, since she would have left behind a knife with her fingerprints and Faith's blood on it at Faith's apartment. Because Buffy couldn't be contained in jail, I would bet he would have someone kill her and declare it self-defense. Then there would be no way to avert his ascension. The world could end because of Buffy's choice.

What would the mayor do? Dust Angel, arrest the scoobies and throw them in jail. They remain there during graduation.
Comments from author:
He'd certainly have cause to, if he went to Faith's apartment and saw all the glass and chaos and the knife with Buffy's fingerprints on it. Yeah, Buffy killing Faith definitely could have ended the world. One factor she never considered.

“You did it B…you killed me…”

But Buffy also killed herself. She won't jump out the window of the Library when Giles has to blow it up. She'll just throw something like a chair to make him think she's out. She'll save Sunnydale, her friends and the world but not herself.
Comments from author:
You think that's what she would do afterward? It's a possibility, especially if all her friends looked at her like a murderer afterward.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Greywizard
Okay, this was quite realistic and *quite* disturbing.

And it definitely needs to have a follow-up, showing us what Buffy's mental state is after Graduation, when what she did fully and completely sinks in, and she has to confront the fact that she quite deliberately, and with full realization of the consequences of her actions, murdered Faith by handing her over to Angel.

Good work.
Comments from author:
Yeah, in my opinion Buffy's actions would have been just as wrong as Faith's because she would get to think about them and consider them every step of the way to Angel, and it would be so much more personal. I'm not sure I'm doing a follow-up just because I have so many other ideas. Thanks for the review!
