Review of chapter "Lancelot, Finally" from Oxnate
Review:
Was getting ready to cringe at Illyria riding a horse as I figured exactly as you did, that no horse would bear her. Good job with that.

Now a question. Since humans and Wilderin are both mud/muck/worms to Illyria, does she see any difference in killing one or the other? Could she get her kicks by exterminating Wilderin from Britain?
Comments from author:
She probably could get her violence kicks from killing Wilderin for a while - but humans are more fun to kill. They can be toyed with easier (Wilderin aren't really smart enough to really toy with) and they very occasionally show flashes of cleverness (in Illyria's eyes).

A little abrupt in your scene changes between chapters. However, I never really like the show so missing out on some of those detail wasn't a great loss. You need to keep it in mind if you do any original work professionally.

Review of chapter "A Chance to do Violence" from Oxnate
Review:
If you can't stop Morgana, there's no way you're going to stop Illyria.
Comments from author:
Pretty much. :P

Thanks for the review!

Review of chapter "Tainted Timelime" from Oxnate
Review:
“Not if it was tipped with metal. If you shot a sharpened arrow shaft or sharpened bolt, then yes.” Wesley nodded. “And again, aiming for the heart is your only option.” Leon nodded as well, following along with what Wesley said.

-- I'm not sure why a metal tip would matter. So long as wood touches heart, I would think that they'd dust.

Loved Illyria's fight with the vamp. Wonder if there will be consequences for that?

Edit: I remembered that Mythbusters tested this myth. Their findings were that sharpened arrow shafts do not penetrate very far at all.

Couldn't find a link to that video but did find one that confirmed that finding and tested wooden arrow heads which actually work much better.

Comments from author:
I always figured that it had to be the sharp wood itself, not the sharp metal - we don't see anyone using metal tipped bolts for their crossbows in either show, even though that would give them better punch, and that has to be for a reason, after all.

Review of chapter "What On Earth Is A Vampire?" from Dmitri
Review:
So far so good, but I cannot help but think that vampires exist in Merlin-verse as well, just under different names or something, because they are just like mosquitoes are - everywhere!
Comments from author:
Of course they exist in the Merlin verse, or they wouldn't be there in Camelot at all.

First thing is that you don't need the spaces for your Tumblr link here. You can even make it a full html link here. I think the FAQ even has directions on how.

I wonder if Wesley is about to (re)write the council volumes on vampires?

Very touching scene with the candle.
Comments from author:
He might, if he can find the time and enough reams of paper.

I'm glad you liked it. :)

Review of chapter "The End of the Nightmare" from (Recent Donor)tchizek
Review:
Snort, prophecy...prophesies are a crutch for the weak minded.
More seriously now that Illyria and Wes have dropped a huge rock of change in the time-stream anything can happen, no prophecy is likely to be right, and the future it is all a muddle.

Great chapter!

Tom.

.
Good chapter. Look forward to how Merlin manages Morgana's training, esp with Gaius' likely disapproval...or will he accept the fait accompli?

Perhaps Wes could 'invent' the fountain pen?

Review of chapter "The Nightmare Begins" from MistofRainbows
Review:
Already so much better than the show... things would have ended up so very different if Merlin had stepped up at the proper time.
Comments from author:
Agreed. They broke the canon of the original cycle so much before? Why couldn't they have broken it with Morgana too?

Because TV shows prefer UST, probably.

Cards on the table. I like that development.

And Wes "subtly" hinting he knows Morgana is a seer will surely ramp-up her paranoia.

Sounds like interesting times ahead.

Oh...and the dragons v. demons bit...very nice job of folding into your story the 'demons lost their purchase' from canon.
