I haven't really gotten into Merlin - I've found the fic more entertaining than most of the shows - but I've learned enough to understand the background. Intriguing choices. So even creating a different timeline would still mean there is a God-King within the deeper well at this time? What if any connection will the two have?

Thank you for mentioning the smell. Don't forget that there are more than just humans throwing their shit into the street too. There will be several hundred (depending on how large you think Camelot is) horses all pissing and shitting in the stables and the streets. Plus cows or oxen if they pull a cart here and there. Don't drink the water.

Oh, and what happened to having Wesley speak for her?

I was a little surprised and disappointed with this chapter as I see this as the "subtitles" that is put up for those who don't pay attention or who are too obtuse and needed every thing explained and translated. Most of the POV here would have been caught, inferred and understood by those who read your work attentively.
Having read it a second time, yes, I have to admit that there were a point or two that would have escaped me if I read only Chapter 2 without Chapter 3.

Hope this chapter did not take too much of your time as I am always "hungry" for your works and now there is the who-the-heck-is-the-"surprisingly familiar face".

I was surprised that you backtracked. This chapter worked, but in the long run I hope you do not keep alternating POV. It is possible to have more than one secret thought in a group scene.

Only a handful of times will I replay the exact same scene from multiple angles - the scene where Arthur meets Wesley and Illyria was such a special case, because of the whole 'Illyria and Wesley speaking to eachother in language Arthur didn't understand' thing.

This shows great promise, I love Illyria as a character, and the crossover is just icing on the cake.

Love the Old English Wes translate for Illyria, with us assuming at first pass that she can't understand/speak Old English(how dare anyone presume that for a god), but later revealing that it is because she is tactless. LMAO.
She is less arrogant and condescending though just as irritable and impatient here than in LA, after her powers were curbed.

Can't wait to see how her obsession with Wes will turn out here and how that will affect Wes and how he would do as a Watcher to an Old One.

Was rather disappointed with the allusions in Chapter 1 that Wes did not have his collapsible sword and other gadgets. So glad you decided to let him have some of his more fun toys. In my mind’s eye, AD, with his fight director background, doing sword fighting in tuxedo in "Waiting in the Wings" was such treat…[hint hint] Brown leather jacket is nice and stylish too.

This looks like it is going to be fun and I can't wait to see what effect the addition of llyria and Wesley have on the merlin series. The only critique I have is in the first chapter wesley says he does not have his sword, and now he does, not sure which way you were actually going with that.
