Review of chapter "Buffy’s Guide... - Buffy/XM:FC" from Letomo
Review:
An interesting chapter. I would be very interested in reading how she thinks she can figure it out. Not to mention, do they know she's from a future? Or that she not only has strength, speed, agility, but also the occasional prophetic dream? How does Mystique think of what has happened?

Hmm a good soldier doesn't mean that you have to agree with everything your superior ask from you or thinks is right. He is not a commando who doesn't ask questions and when they say jump he asked how high instead what for. A good soldier has a mind of his own and can have his own opinion and when he thinks something isn't right in his eyes. He can ask permission to talk and if granted give his opinion about the matter.
But Steve forgets he isn't a soldier anymore. He is an hero fighting the good fight. He trust Tony and Tony is his friend. He had the right to disagree with Fury and telling him or leave with Tony just like the others. But he still thinks as a soldier and that's sad. He lost some friends here.
love all your whishlist they have very good stories in them. Well I like most of your writings so that's not a surprise.

What is really sad is how this is all so possible, given what we know of the personalities involved. I choose to believe however that Steve would have snuck down that night and broken Tony out. He just hadn't gotten around to it. Yet.

Interesting scenario and totally possible given what we know of the personalities involved - although I find it hard to believe *Tony* could ever disappear - the man's ego is just that large lol .

Yeah, that seems about right for all three characters. Feel kinda bad that Steve lost a friend by taking the wrong side, but he is the dutiful soldier; I bet that Stark understands that...even if he can't necessarily forgive it when it leads to moments like this one. Problem is that neither Stark nor Fury is totally wrong. After all, Batman kept some Kryptonite around on the off chance that Superman ever went evil on them and only Steve is a bigger boy scout than Superman. Good job on handling an uncomfortable confrontation between (former) allies.
EDIT: I fully admit that I'm not as emotionally involved with Stark or the Avengers as I am with BtVS, so I don't have the righteous anger that would happen if a similar situation occurred in an AU world where the Scoobies were allied with a rebuilt Initiative and Giles (Steve) is so happy to be part of an organization again that he forgets his duty is to Buffy (Stark) and sides with Riley (Fury) when they are afraid that she's becoming too powerful of a Slayer. If that scenario played out in your story, I'd be railing against Giles and plotting his fictional death.
My point is that what is 'understandable and therefore somewhat acceptable behavior' in one fandom and doesn't cause a visceral reaction would be a whole other kettle of fish in another. Something I'm sure a seasoned writer such as yourself already knows. Still like the story and the way you handled it.
