Could you please put some more chapters in this story. I would love to read more. I also would love to read how Buffy will bring in the lessons she learned in those seven years she lived as a Slayer. Many wouldn't understand that for Buffy the world isn't black or white but that there are grey areas. Most super-naturals aren't evil but just try to have a life that goes for vamps and were's.

I also hope she will meet Anita and JC. A Anita who is a hypocrite who can have several mans to satisfied her needs, where JC is suffering because he wants to please Anita and won't satisfied his needs because Anita forbid it. A dangerous game Anita is playing because she isn't satisfying them either.

I would really love to read more about Saint Louis.

So more please.

I just found this series and really enjoyed it. The concept is very original. I like the fact that you have a crossover that doesn't break the rules for either show/story. All three stories in the series so far are very well written. I look forward to future stories that build on the characters we have seen so far. Keep up the good work.

I generally don't read Anita Blake stuff anymore, because of all the 'throw the book across the room' problems with the source material. The ridiculous sex, we all know about. But the start of my irritation was how she treated the were leopards, as needing to 'rub' and 'sleep in a pile' with other members of the group for emotional comfort. You know -entirely ignoring the fact that leopards are solitary big cats how have no such 'instinctive behavior' at all. Did the woman(LKH) do NO research(even reading a kinder-garden level book) on HOW the various big cats behave? Or did she just not care, and fixate on the pseudo-sexual imagery her made up behaviour pattern provided her? I wonder...

So while I like the basic framework of your story, a couple things don't appeal to me.
Buffy as a were-lion. The one authentic 'grouping' big cat. The 'pride' aspect abused with the leopards in the Blake canon REALLY makes me want to hit the back button without much prompting. I have to tell you if any of that pseudo-sexual crap shows up with the lions, I'll roll my eyes and never come back to the story.
Sorry LKH has totally ruined anything in that theme for me. (For many of us I suspect.)
My other quibble is the story importance of OC's in this story line because of her were type. I just don't care for OC's. I'm totally disinterested in the ones you introduced in this chapter. I couldn't even be bothered to go back to the story to remember their names. Now that is a subjective criticism I'll admit. But most readers of fanfiction would agree, the less seen, and heard of OC's the better.

Couldn't you have made Buffy a nice solitary Tiger? It seems to fit the whole 'One Girl/Slayer' thing much better? 8P

Now what I liked. - NOT making Buffy a leopard. Thank You times infinity.
As I said, I find the basic way you have brought Buffy into this world fairly interesting. It got my brain shoveling coal into the brain furnace to wonder just how delusions could in a realistic way translate into real training/skills for an awakened Bffy. (In a non hand waving way.) I have a sneaking suspicion Marmee Noir has a hand in it somewhere. Caller of cats. Mistress of psychic dreams-capes. Lover of twisted plots within plots.

So I'm interested in seeing this Buffy kick butt and take names. See her interact and hopefully slap the living crap out of most of the crew in St. Luis. And maybe teaching Anita how to be a monster who hunts monsters and still be true to herself. (and not be the total nimpho bitch the books have turned her into.)

But please, for the love of God, NO vampire hook-ups!!
Comments from author:
I understand your distaste for OC's as in general, i'm not a big fan of them either. However, that mostly applies to OCxCharacter pairings.

I actually thought about Tigress!Buffy but decided against it. While yes, Slayers are SUPPOSED to be solitary destroyers of evil... Buffy never fit that mold very well now did she? She always had her friends, the scoobies, with her. Except at that one moment when they freaked out and abandoned her but the lions aren't very likely to do that, being as you said, the one truly social big cat. Cheetahs being the closest after them.

Leopards held no interest for me, and not beause of any dislike for the pard dynamics. With what I have in mind an animal-form of a leopard isn't... impressive enough. Isn't powerful enough. Needs something bigger, more powerful. It was either a Tiger or a Lion and I picked Lion.

As far as her delusions changing things it's... complicated. I will neither confirm nor deny Mommy Dearest's involvement in the delusion memories influencing her skillset but I will say that the mind is, even now, completely unknown as to how it works.

I really want to see a Buffy with conflicted/different emotions and desires. Like e.g.;

I want to kill vamp/were but I can't because of stupid vamp/shifter politics.

Don't forget Buffy's problem with authority figures. I really want to know where you are going with this Buffy.
Comments from author:
I know all about Buffy's authority problem. Thing is, Marco and Artemis are both old friends of hers, from before she went into the delusion. That means she can take it better from them. She will have an... interesting time with Jean-Claude though, that I'll admit.

As for her caring about vamp politics... only to the extent of she doesn't want to bring the entire council's might down on the pride. That would be bad.

Looks like Buffy will have a useful place in the pride, but she isn't unrealistically better than everyone else. Can't wait to see what she encounters in St Louis!
Comments from author:
Physically she's no stronger than a regular lion no. That still gives her a MASSIVE edge on every other executioner in the country. Plus she still hasn't been outfitted, wait for that part. I have some evil ideas up my sleeve.

It will be quite an adjustment for Joyce since Buffy has done seven years of painful growing up in her head. Her little girl really has gone forever. I hope Buffy doesn't rely on her memories too much though, vampires in this reality are much harder to kill than they were in Sunnydale and the various shifters are more dangerous too. At least there will not be so many demons around :)
Comments from author:
Vampires aren't THAT much more dangerous. Not for someone almost as fast/strong as a Lycan. Anita is a regular human, physical ability speaking, and she does just fine.
