Interesting. Glad to see Kendra surviving, she's not in many fanfics, everybody finds Faith more interesting. I think Kendra could have grown into the role if she had a different watcher than Zabuto. maybe even end up with TWO shirts!
Three slayers this early on in the storyline, very unusual. Could get weird. And Joyce will be having words with Giles AND Angel... Poor Spike.

I find Kendra a sad creature and think she deserves better. Diana has made sure she has rather more than two shirts already. ;-)

It will certainly get weird... Words? They should be so lucky. Spike? Spike will have to grovel like anything if he wants to live after what he did to Dawn.

I didn't get the D&D cartoon reference till halfway through Diana's fight.

WTF didn't DM designate Eric as a paladin is a mystery.... Nice to see he grew out of cowardice.

Not quite getting why Faith became a Slayer, though. Kendra didn't die, AFaIK.

Thank you. Eric's shield was the first hint, but I wanted to keep it slightly mysterious where his power came from. Cavalier was a type of Paladin in AD&D (1st edition). Eric always jumped between his friends and danger. He just complained about it.

Kendra suffocated in the fumes from the chasm. (As was the intent) Diana had to resuscitate her, aided by a touch of magic.

I thought the fight with Dr. Diane and Kendra against Brigham was awesome. One of the better written fight scenes I've seen, I was really drawn into the action.

OK, the way I read this, Faith was Called before Kendra was revived by Dr. Carrington in Hawaii, so now there are three - count'em, 3!!! - Slayers in existence... and two /seem/ to be located in Massachusetts... Cambridge and Boston, respectively...

Given the shown magical knowledge of Dr. Diane, I would /think/ that she did some warding of her place when she came back to the mainland with her new ward Kendra, so maybe the Watcher doesn't know of her. Then again, it'd be pretty neat if the newly arrived Slayer and the recently Called Slayer were to be thrown together soon after Kendra's arrival, perhaps by dormant spells set to alert the Watcher of the presence of a Slayer in her area? Then you get two fairly practiced magic users with little need of the set-in-stone-traditions training and educating the Slayers and thereby eliminating Kakistos faster...

And what about the Sunnydale Scoobies and the remnants of the Chaos Spell? How much stuck with them? Did Buffy get over her necrophilia, does Dawn retain some of Lucy; does Xander retain some of Chief - and I'm thinking SEAL Guy vice Soldier Guy here!! - and how will it affect them all???

And just how bad will Joyce stomp Rupert and Angel's butts for their actions and inactions later on?

Like Eric Chase and the fact he knows about magic and Dr. Diane is /very/ interesting indeed...

Oh god. I really hate the "Slayers can't kill humans" trope. I almost stopped reading right there.

But I'm glad I didn't because the battle with Kendra and (the other) Diana was excellent.

Also laughed at the 'Triple D'. Very funny there.

And who told Kendra that?

Yup. But it might also upset the 'Balance' (Which I never got). They definetely want to know. They aren't stupid and if something killed the Slayer and her Watcher, that might be a major threat.
