Regarding hyenas: there are three types - spotted, brown, and striped.

Brown hyenas have both an alpha female and an alpha male.

Spotted female hyenas dominate the smaller males.

Spotted hyenas dominate other hyena species wherever their ranges overlap. Brown hyenas encounter spotted hyenas in the Kalahari, where the brown species outnumbers the spotted. The two species typically encounter each other on carcasses, which the larger spotted species usually appropriate. Sometimes, brown hyenas will stand their ground and raise their manes while emitting growls. This usually has the effect of seemingly confusing spotted hyenas, which will act bewildered, though they will occasionally attack and maul their smaller cousins. Similar interactions have been recorded between spotted and striped hyenas in the Serengeti.

The striped hyena is monogamous, with the male helping the female to establish a den, raise young and feed her when cubs are born. From what I can tell from the article, there doesn't seem to be an alpha.

I'm not sure what kind of hyena "Bud" and "Lou" were.

I rather doubt the writers even gave it any thought, whatsoever.

Perhaps this will teach the Joker about his random kidnapping of people. Other wise he's going to wish he'd just told Darkside he was a loser to his face. Hahaha.

Yeah, Dawn has had excellent instruction in the art of driving people bonkers, and she's also showing indications of a great natural talent with her current interaction with The Bat. ;-)

And while the Joker might be crazy, he's not stupid, so he'll realize that he's pissed off some people who apparently don't hold to the same standards of behavior towards criminals as Batman does. THAT is going to give him some food for some exhaustive thought.

I'm surprised Bats didn't wonder how Tim survived locked up with Dawn if she had a tendency to babble on like that, since he barely lasted 5 minutes himself.
