There ARE ways to fix the little mortality problem they seem to be having. Totally non-evil ways.
Edit: For instance, and I'm not sure if this is canon but I've seen it in a couple fics, blood adoption grants immortality to the adopted.
Edit2: Oh I'm quite positive they aren't canon. Doesn't mean there aren't ways you can bloody well make up all by your onesies if you feel like it. Something happens and she turns into a Maia, or the Slayer magic interacting with Arda makes her immortal. If all else fails, cheat.

Hmmm...... perhaps....
I've seen the blood adoption fics too and have enjoyed reading them quite a bit, but I don't think that process is canon. Interesting idea to get around an issue for some though, but I don't think it'll be something I'll be exploring here. Thank you for the comment though. They're always nice to read.

It's nice to see Haldir interacting with Buffy this way and I hope to see more of him. I know there was very little of him in the book, but he was a memorable and very likeable character to me. I loved Haldir in the movies as well, but we didn't get to see much at all of the less military aspects of the character, unlike the warm, friendly Haldir who showed Frodo the Hill of Cerin Amroth in the book.
Thank you for the update!

I've always liked Haldir too and I'm glad you enjoyed seeing him in this!
Strange no one else is reviewing... So you are working you way through the character that would have known her past self, ok I can go for that. You are doing a good job on it, please keep it up.

Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it. More is definitely on the way.
