Review of chapter "Age Six: Thoughts" from RojoOjo
Review:
Really wish for more!
Comments from author:
I have, unfortunately, been extremely busy of late. Things seem to be slowing down so I should be writing for this and other stories again soon.

Comments from author:
Updates should start back up soon. I had to put this and other stories on hold due to RL taking up all me time. Glad you enjoyed what I wrote so far.

Don't know the crossover universe, but it was a lot of fun reading this.
Comments from author:
Movie is worth a watch and books are worth a read. I would recommend your local library though. books are like $15 each. Glad you're enjoying the fic, hope you'll continue to like it.

The guardians/spirits sooooo need to get out more.
Comments from author:
They do/will. Just not until post-movie events that won't happen here.

This is just so cute. The logic in it is priceless as well.
Comments from author:
Glad you liked it, writing from Xander's pov is hard work.

Deep thoughts for a six year old. Plausible, but also showing intelligence and some wisdom.
Comments from author:
child POVs are hard for me. I have trouble judging what's 'too smart' for them. I constantly feel like I'm both under and over estimating them. I imagine when I have kids of my own I'll be a better judge then.

Review of chapter "Age Six: No Such Thing" from TwilightHeretic
Review:
I definitely loved Pitch's reaction to Xander's lack of belief, very funny.

And if you think about it, it makes sense.
What is one of the first things a kid will do in regards to Santa/Easter Bunny/Tooth Fairy?

Try to stay up and see them.

Now, when they're younger, it's rather easy to tell when they're faking sleep or whatever. But eventually the kid pulls one over on the parents, or the parents are just too tired or in a hurry to check, and the kid sees them laying out eggs or presents or feels the tooth swap and realizes it has been their parents the whole time.
Cue end of belief.

But the Boogeyman...
Now there's a figure that you'll never see a parent fake. And still they tell their kids about the boogeyman, which the children are later told doesn't exist, and yet they never see the man behind the curtain, so to speak.

Meaning, he is the only one that kids never prove to not exist.

Just a bit of rambling.
Comments from author:
Glad Pitch's reaction was amusing. And ramblings fine, it made sense.

*snicker* You just know that Xander will find out about the guardians eventually and they'll be shocked that they missed him. *smirk*
Comments from author:
Lol, in that respect Sandy will be up first but I think he handles the situation pretty well.

Review:
I confess to not knowing the cross, but man this is cool. Great job! Keep up the good work!
Comments from author:
I'm basing this crossover primarily off the movie Rise of the Guardians. It'll be out on dvd soon if you're curious. I reccomend it purely for the beautiful graphics and characters.

For a quick summary; spirits exsist and perform various duties for The Man in the Moon (well, except Pitch). Basically, they just make sure kids live happy somewhat magical childhoods while Pitch goes bah humbug and tries to ruin things. The Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, North aka Santa, and the Sandman are the Big Four and Jack Frost makes them the Big Five in the movie.

Anyways, glad you're enjoying it without even knowing the cross and thank you for the compliments!

Review:
Like this; definitely should keep Xander believing in Pitch up to and after he finds out about the nightlife - for that matter, have Pitch start dropping clues for him, since it would keep him safer than not knowing in /that/ town...

And I would love it if you could wean this Willow from the parents-controlled near robot so many have her stuck as; almost everyone else gets to change but Willow, it sometimes seems to me...

It seems as if Pitch and Santa are something of friends, so I was wondering if there were any others that Pitch is friendly with or allies, as opposed to whichever ones he couldn't get along with...
Comments from author:
Ah, to answer your last question first. Pitch and Santa aren't on friendly terms (Pitch's fault) but Pitch knows where North lives (like a homicidal pyscho) and, unlike Jack Frost, knows how to break in. Tooth thinks Pitch is a creep (justified) and blood flies when Pitch and Bunnymund cross paths (justified). Sandy and Pitch occasionally have truces since they both work with dreams and understand each other's work better than others but more often than not Pitch does something to break said truces.

about Willow... I don't have much planned for her right now. Just for her and Xander to not grow as close as they did in canon (because Xander is emotionally healthier for having Pitch and he never quite forgives Willow for making him doubt Pitch's existence) and for her to realize her bi/les sexuality sooner as a result. I think she needs to realize mommy and daddy aren't always right and start forming thoughts independant from them before I can save her character.

Finally, to answer your first question, I'm planning something along those lines. Planning a lot actually...

Interesting. I thought he would have given it to Willow so at least he could visit the dog but I am enjoying Xander's god-parent situation.
Comments from author:
Why wouldn't Pitch bring the dog to visit Xander? Also, Pitch doesn't really know Willow. He's no doubtedly given her nightmares and he's knows -of- her through Xander but that's about it.

Xander's god-parent situation is an interesting way of phrasing things. I keep imaging Pitch in Maleficent's outfit... he pulls it off well.
