Yes, the COA's are awesome all the way around, and I am ecstatic to have received the nominations that I have this year. Some were for specific characters (Dru! and Wesley!), some were for specific crossovers (Professor Doyle for unfinished HP crossover! All sorts of X-Men crossover nominations!) and I even got a nomination for overall crossover writing (wow - and thanks!). I - and I presume everyone else who was nominated - am thrilled that other people are enjoying my writing that much. And I'll try to stop babble-typing giddily about them. It also is a fantastic way to find other good reads, not just in areas or particular pairings that you enjoy (come on, everyone has a favorite crossover or pairing that they really like!) but for a character that you might not have been following as much (it can be a bear to find good fics with some characters - or even any fics...) or an unexpected crossover. I know that there have been fics that I read just because they were COA nominees that I hadn't seen before - maybe I didn't check the latest page in the right window of time, maybe it was an unfamiliar fandom/crossover, maybe the summary didn't catch my interest... But I'll take a look because if they got the nomination, someone must think quite highly of the story.

I'm glad that you liked it. I wanted to try something different, something that pushed at my boundaries of what I felt comfortable and secure in writing. Drusilla is fun to write, but she can be quite challenging to keep her on track for what I want and still sounding like herself.

I was amazed that someone could pull off an effective Predator/BTVS crossover, then I realized that you were the one who crossed Sesame Street with Buffy. Your ability to string together unlikely crosses keeps me coming back for more.

I liked this fic. The Jabberwocky poem always creeped me out when I was little. Is this supposed to be after Dru left Spike?

Yeah, this was supposed to be opening with Dru and her Fungus Demon - which would put Spike in Sunnydale with Harmony. And yeah, the poem is a bit creepy sounding. Lots of imagery, but it's not all happy, you know?

One word insanity. But that is good, for Dru is insane. And with a severed head the alien predator had no chance to activate his self destruction bomb.
