I debated making this a series or a chapter story, and when I first planned it out it was much shorter and the stories would mostly stand alone, and since they were also in different povs I just went ahead and made it into a series. The story in itself has evolved quite a bit and perhaps would better fit into one story with chapters, but it was too late by then and I've just ran with it.

So this will be Buffy and Aragorn... I tend to get worried about stories that don't do the canon parings since I fear for the possible character bashing, but you did it without Arwen-bashing and in fact you had her give Aragorn her blessing for going after Buffy. You did good with this chapter

poor elrond, before he could hope to see her again in valinor. but now he will never see her again, as she is mortal and will marry estel. that must be hard.
But buffy would hurt him too if she pretended to be his lost wife.
