So this is where you've been hiding the good stories lately! This one definitely has potential. Glad to see you're still writing.

Ah a really good update. I read some reviews and saw some pretty good names which could suit Buffy's given name as a Valkyrie.
Can't shake the feeling it should be I'm ........ Brunnhildedóttir, of Asgard, but call me Buffy. Every time I read I'm Buffy Brunnhildedóttir, of Asgard I get a the urge to laugh. Why can she have two names like Thor. Buffy Summers in normal clothes and ........... Brunnhildedóttir, of Asgard as a Valkyrie.
Well I'm done complaining about her name and let me tell you. You wrote a great update can't wait what will come next.
keep writing and I keep reading
Edit: Feel free and Darn. I was looking forward for a ass kicking name but I will stop nagging and whining about it.
Comments from author:
Thor doesn't HAVE two names in the movieverse, I feel the need to point out.

Review:
So, the type of God/Goddess Buffy is, is it a Hercules/Xena type of God? Or a PJO type of God?
--Edit--
But what would be similar to the Marvel Type of Gods for me to make a connection between them? What similar Type did Buffy turn into? The fourth chapter already said that most of the Asgard can't do magic or Shapeshift(Besides Loki obviously). Where did she get magic and shapeshifting from if she was possessed by Brunnhilde? What Type besides Marvel Gods would her Powers/Abilities be similar to?
Comments from author:
Try a Marvel type god.

I am enjoying your story very much. Wonder if Buffy will really be recruited by SHIELD. Keep up the great writing.

Thank you for writing and if the facts (in a piece of fiction?) are different it is because in 'this' universe they are real.

Amusing story. It does feel like you're just rehashing the Avengers movie with Buffy thrown in- it's time to really start busting out butterflies or my sod will be gone. I l'll also add that throughout her life, even as a god, and especially before she moved to Asgard, there should have been WAY more emotion in the revelation that she couldn't stay on Earth (and also that Tara was back). She's accepting everything far too easily with no scenes of her checking in on her 'family' to see how they're doing. And there's the issue of Dawn, with Joyce dead, legally Willow and Tara couldn't adopt and it will be noticed that she has no 'family' in the literal sense taking care of her (even if the scoobies would be taking care of her).
Additionally, her description of Faith while more or less correct, shouldn't have been nearly so easily accepted. It's one thing to know that someone made a mistake intellectually and another to truly accept that and move on- there's still a lot of hard feelings there, especially between Willow and Faith - willow having been jealous of Faith when she first showed up because she felt like she was being replaced, and now here's Faith literally replacing Buffy... Not to mention the potential awkwardness between Faith and Xander (although Anya being around does help- or could hurt, given Anya's bluntness).
So yeah, this story has potential, but the beginning was far too rushed and there are some real flaws in the storytelling.
Comments from author:
I'm gonna answer your worries in a weird order.
They accepted Buffy's words on Faith because they weren't about to argue with her when it was sounding like a goodbye speech, one does not simply interrupt a goodbye speech unless they can stop it from needing to be goodbye. This means that while sure, there may be some awkwardness when she actually gets released early and heads to Sunnyhell, they won't say a damn thing about it to Buffy.
I was going to address her not trying to check in with the scoobies next chapter.
As for Dawn, well... Spike can handle that. It's what I meant to imply.
I THINK you started to say something there toward the beginning but... it just kinda stopped.
And so far I haven't touched the Avenger's movie. I only tweaked Thor a lil'bit. Worry not though, she wasn't there quite long enough to create a big impact on Thor. Thing about ripples, they start small, and get huge.

I really enjoy Buffy's conversations with Coulson -- he's a great 'straight man' for her, as well as being smart enough to truly respect her without being overawed.
Comments from author:
Hate to disappoint, but Coulson is not her pair for this one.

Review:
So, Buffy has some neat new abilities, a relationship with SHIELD, and is staying on Earth ? I have a feeling that later seasons of BTVS may go a bit differently than they did in canon.
Edit : My bad, it looks like I missed that point. OTOH, "can't stay in this universe" isn't exactly the same thing as "Can't drop in once in a while", so if you run out of ideas for a sequel it might be something to think about.
Comments from author:
Well duh, she's not gonna be there. This is a different Earth. She'll never see her Earth again. So yea, Seasons Six and Seven will be VERY different.

Review:
casting chaos magic to get a predictable result always seemed iffy to me.
Comments from author:
The thing about this particular chaos spell is that it doesn't seem to be the spell itself that's chaotic. It's the results of the spell that cause the chaos. Turning someone into a god in a realm that has no true gods... that's certainly a big bit of chaos. Not to mention what she's gonna do in the Marvelverse. Also, Janus doesn't want the First to be released so he made the results a bit more helpful than they might have been.

Well, having just read "True Queen Versus False Gods," I'm not sure which I'd rather see more of. That one, or this series. It's a close call.
Well, the only thing I'm not all that fond of in this one, is the fact that the series seems to be a connection of one-shots that really (imho) should just be a single story. Other than that, another neat beginning.
