So has all Hell broken loose, or have all the Hells broken loose?
Either way, the Senior Partners have set up the board rather well, and now the pieces are in motion. Giles and the rest will have to play a most dangerous gambit if they wish to come out of this intact by any definition of the word.
I'll have to reread this to get an exact sense of what is going on and what's on the table here, but from the closing lines of this chapter it looks bad. Might be time before all is said and done to go to the mattresses ...

Going to the mattresses is exactly what the next stage will be!

The fecal matter is about to hit the rotary impeller.
I foresee that the Council will be decimated, like in another one of your stories. With the amount of firepower arranged against them, I don't think that without some major weapon or power in their hands, the Council will not survive. And even if it does, it will have lost the majority of its personnel and holdings. It's quite likely they will never be able to defeat W&H, especially with their farflung, inter-dimensional holdings.
Comments from author:
Whoa, that's pessimestic.
Of course, I have written dark before, so who knows????
Thanks for the review!

Holee crap...this is starting to look like the prelude to a Code Ragnarök ...would that actually happen?
Short chapters but a good setup, looking forward to more so I'll start tracking this-- keep it up!
Comments from author:
I'm not aware what a Code Ragnarök is?
Oh right, had a brief scan. It's similar in breadth and width, although not involving either Marvel or DC, but doesn't involve the opening of Hellmouths. Actually taken a longer look, no my story is no-where near as ambitious. Lol.
Thanks for the review, as always appreciated.

Lots of crossovers in this one, lot to keep track of. A good start though. One nitpick, it's Tasker, not Trasker. As for going up against W&H, it's a very big task. After all, it's a multi-dimensional firm while the Council is firmly rooted in a single dimension. I don't know how smart it was going after them. They can pull assets from other dimensions easily. Still, I'm looking forward to see where this goes.
Comments from author:
Yeah, someone else pointed out that mistake.
And yes, that's EXACTLY what W&H are going to do.
Thanks for the review.

Good. Thirty billion sounds like a lot, but I wonder how long it would last given the size of the organization you describe.
Comments from author:
Yeah. If you consider each Council House employs about sixty people (with the HQ employing maybe a hundred), that's a lot of wages, and then there's equipment, medical insurance etc.
Thanks for the review.
