Mako's were just out at the start of ME-1, so it must be a that older one you usealy see Alliance soldiers use, Grisley or so.
Heat sinks are still a part of the gun at the time, so no ejecting either. Though you can get away by saying it entered cooling-mode. It's in ME-2 that ejectable heat sinks are in use for the first time, introduced during the two years that Shepard was dead. So way after ME-1
Try to keep the ME timeline correct, O'ke? Alter events at your hearts contents, as long as it still happends at the right timeperiod.
it will be interesting to see immortals of other races...if there are. keep up the good work and keep this one going. its different and a fresh take on a tale.
I don't really know much about Highlander but I am OBSESSED with Mass Effect. I must have played through all three games at least 50 times now. I like to make every possible choice. Anyway, it was nice to hear a better back-story for Shepard than the game gives. And I hate Thresher Maws, too. Keep up the good work!

Actually I used one of the backgrounds u could choose in ME1 and just filled it out a bit. Nice you liked it.
