Review of chapter "How the Light Gets In" from SongBirdie
Review:
I loved this. The writing is beautiful, the characterization wonderful, and your portrayal of two broken people, moving on as best they can, is very realistic. John & Faith’s relationship is not better or worse than John & Sherlock’s, just different. “When they kiss, it’s not fire and passion, but warmth and companionship. It’s not romantic love, but it’s close enough to dull the edges of their pain.” An amazing line, very well put on a very real world sentiment. :D

The hints of what happened to Buffy and how much Faith misses her are wonderfully done. “She was beautiful, and I had her back. Except when I didn’t.” I love the double meaning in the last two lines. :)

And how you bring Sherlock back and deal with him is kind to him, but honest about what he did. Life goes on, and they all thought his wouldn’t, so John pieced himself back together, and he can’t just undo that because Sherlock is really alive. “But you broke him. You don’t get to choose how he fixes himself.” Kudos, well said, Faith. ;)

Bravo. I think this says a lot in a few words. You did a wonderful job. Keep up the great work. :D

What a wonderful review. This totally made my day, I have to tell you. :)

I'm glad what I was trying to say same across. When something leaves you broken, you do what you have to in order to pick up the pieces, even if it's not necessarily the way you imagined your life would go, before.

As for Faith and Buffy, I know Sherlock says she loved Buffy like a sister, but I'm not convinced that's true. Remember, Sherlock usually gets SOMETHING wrong. But that's up to your interpretation.

Seriously, this is such a great review I'm still smiling. Thank you so much!
