Treating a Woman with Respect

Review of chapter "A Lesson in Respecting Women" from (Current Donor)DeacBlue
Review:
Your premise wasn't bad - that, uptight and arrogant as the Malfoys are, there are some lines that they won't cross(even if this isn't the line I'd pick for them, myself). However, you have some issues with your characterization.

You haven't told us anything different, so we're forced to assume that this is the point where things break off from canon for the characters; and it simply doesn't make sense for the Malfoys and Buffy to do and say what you had them do.

First, you seem to have the Malfoys knowing Buffy. How? Or if they don't, they take offense at insults offered a MUGGLE?

Then you have them apparently getting the truckers to step outside for some kind of fair fight...These are the Malfoys. They'd get them out on some excuse and take them out in the safest manner possible that also punished the truckers, and then when they did it, they'd spout some line about how that's reserved for better people than they.

And then you have Buffy thanking them for defending her honor. Would not happen. Ever. Nor would she consider herself brave for doing what she did. She considers herself as a coward at this point, until she realizes that she's always going to be the Vampire Slayer.

Other than that, good plot and grammar.

As Morticia Addams from the Addams Family would say, "Oh, I'm flattered". :)

*Applauds* If more men treated ladies like that, there would be less headaches for everyone all around. Nice to see the Malfoy's treating Buffy with respect and teaching these Redneck truckers how to treat a lady!

I agree. And thanks for the nice feedback as well; it means a lot to me, and encourages me to write more. :)

At least you're honest there. As Morticia Addams would say, "Oh, I'm flattered". :)
