I have only one question: Why didn't they spare Mario a 1-up? The man is the master plumber..
Comments from author:
Good question. O.O
And the answer is that it never occurred to me. Brain fart, obviously! ;-(
Of course, that offers yet another plot bunyip to spontaneously appear, so you might see something like this in the future, once my muse is finished with the stories I'm currently working on. ;-)

Since I'm to blame for inspiring you to write this, maybe I will be again if this does the same for the next one. Luna's comment about extra-dimensional beings started me thinking. I had an image in my head of a Harry with spiky, wind-swept hair with a cerulean tinge and a near insatiable craving for chili dogs. I also thought of Hermione dressed as Rouge the Bat but wielding Amy Rose's Piko-Piko Hammer.
Comments from author:
It's a nice idea, but I'm not at all familiar with the Sonic the Hedgehog series, so I doubt that I'll do anything with it.
Unless, of course, my muse changes her mind and tells me to do so. ;-)

Hell Yeah!! Love to see more of this... then again, I do say that about all your stories, so it's no real surprise...
The prophesy was a distinctly nice touch, and now that Harry has heard it, I really would hope he has less trust in Dumbledore, given all the secrets the old fart has kept from him all these years - yes, I'm trying to incite Muse Mania here, so work with me, people! - along with his idiocy of supporting Snape's little sadistic games on helpless children...
Wonder who and what else is down there in the Dept. of Mysterious' little cubbyholes and vaults that they might stumble upon next...
Comments from author:
Yes, indeed, the Department of Mysteries could be (and probably is) hiding a great many surprises in its vast and unexplored hidden areas.
That would probably be a good challenge, too - to explore the DOM and discover what's hiding inside. That could provide a lot of fun (or terrifying) stories. 0.0

I had to go back and read "The Power(Up) They Know Not" after I read this one. You should set this up as a challenge. I am sure this bunny will infect many. I laughed a lot at both stories. Nice job.
Comments from author:
What exactly what you mean about making this a challenge?
For any author to change 'the power he knows not' to whatever the author wants it to be?
Or to make a challenge to have 'the power he knows not' be something from a video game?
Glad you enjoyed the story. ;-)

So they find Mario and his items... though I don't get the prophesy
Comments from author:
I made the prophecy different in this 'verse, mainly because so many people keep the same idiotic one that JKR mandated, which is basically nothing more than a paperweight no, since Harry destroyed Tom in their Halloween encounter fourteen years earlier.
