A neat wrap there, and looks like pumpkinhead is still there, still waiting, and will be let loose again someday, some things just can't be stopped for good it seems like.

Review:
Brilliant!

It reminds of the inexorable workings of Fate in Greek tragedies.

Review of chapter "Chapter Seventeen --The End" from burmafrdnow
Review:
disagree with one thing: nothing is unkillable. Just have to know how and then do it.
Comments from author:
That breaks the genre rules for the crossover. In the Pumpkinhead series, you can not kill it. Slow it down or hurt it? Sure. But the best you can do is dispel it until someone else makes the deal.

Review of chapter "Chapter Seventeen --The End" from lunalurker
Review:
A very fun and suitably angsty tale of horror and loss and really, really dumb humans. Just like a movie.
Though I am a bit surprised that Faith and her peeps would leave the witch alone to keep plying her bloody trade.
Comments from author:
Who's to say they won't keep a close eye on Barnes Alabama from now on? I saw that the challenge was to basically write this cross in way that didn't conflict with the rules of the Pumpkinhead world. That meant killing the big guy or Haggis, or laying Ed Harley to rest were out. I did take a ton of liberties with the mythology, but making Pumpkinhead less than what it is (indestructible) was definitely out.

Review of chapter "Chapter Seventeen --The End" from DarthTenebrus
Review:
And so it ends as it has time and again through the long years, and as it shall begin yet again...

So long as human beings hunger for retribution in those times when justice seems out of our reach, and as long as those who have been unfairly hurt or bereft or that which they hold most dear seek to redress a particular grievance, the circle shall remain unbroken...

And Pumpkinhead will be waiting for someone to call upon him and make the deal...

Well done.
Comments from author:
Thanks a lot!

Southern Gothic is the core of these films and that's what I tried to deliver. It's not as easy to write as I thought though...

Review of chapter "Chapter Seventeen --The End" from DianeCastle
Review:
Nicely done. And I like seeing Faith using her intelligence along with her Slayer powers and her 'tood. Graham was a good choice for a partner.

I really liked the vampire lawyer. He'd make a good spin-off character. I recommend Harmony Kendall as his secretary. :-)
Comments from author:
A pictured Breckinridge as a lot like Harmony or Spike...Liam was not a good person before he became Angelus. William and Harmony may have been shallow, but they weren't inherently mean.

A fitting end to a story that was never going to have a happy ending...and I think that the Council's legal department just got a new recruit.
Comments from author:
I don't know about the Council, but Breckinridge may be getting a suggestion to visit a cave in Africa...

Review of chapter "Chapter Sixteen" from DarthTenebrus
Review:
Ahhhh...the backstory of the Pumpkinhead. The coming of the endgame. The thrill of the impending resolution of this monstrous episode is beyond description. Just one last fight, one last issue to settle. Will the Dark Slayer win the day, or will she die? Or will she realize that there is simply no means to stop him from running his course?

Review:
Action, violence, vengeance, horror - this one has everything.

Looks like a new party has joined the fun; is this going to be a double crossover ?

On a completely different note: Pumpkinhead is strong, fast, fierce, and totally singleminded on the hunt, which sounds very familiar....and we never did learn what KIND of demon was used to activate the Slayer line. Just sayin'
Comments from author:
The origins of the Big Guy and the Slayers did cross my mind a few times, but I thought it would be more interesting if it was so out of touch with the demonic world, that it had no clue what a Slayer was.
