Review of chapter "Chapter Five" from Mcspender
Review:
I think Seo is a star example of why poor communication kills. And yeah, The Master was really successful in his strategy for winning this little nice war.
Cool fic, see ya!!! =).
Comments from author:
Too bad both her parents happen to have problems with lying and/or keeping secrets.

Review of chapter "Chapter Four" from Gideon
Review:
So Seo's scheme - whatever it was - has failed. But Seo is not dead and frozen, so she was wrong about that! Good thing Buffy was around to beat her up.
If they can't freeze her though and they have to leave then they will have to take her with them. Hey, They have an empty suitcase right there! They should stick Seo in the suitcase and take her with them!
She wouldn't be detected by any machines so that should be fine. Finally she has a way to travel on an aeroplane - as luggage!
Comments from author:
Hahaha! I wonder if her part-Gallifreyan physiology would survive being in a depressurized part of the plane!

Review:
Ya know, the Torchwood team really lacks the necessary hindsight to make the difference between undue paranoia and simple Caution. They really suck at the intelligence gathering and analysis, it seems to me :S.
Cool chapter, see ya!!.
Comments from author:
Well, they are under deep hypnosis from the Master. And, unlike UNIT, they're not trying to help the Master to directly kill everyone and destroy the world. Which is definitely a point in their favor.

But it does really bother me that Torchwood keeps killing tortured aliens and calling it a mercy killing, just because they're scared.

Review of chapter "Chapter Three" from Gideon
Review:
Sounds like if Alison had been there she would have been one more person that Seo would have locked up :( I feel for Buffy here, but she knows that Seo has 13 lives, why wouldn't she get Seo out of the freezer herself? I guess Torchwood would be watching her quite closely after they had to kill her daughter though. I just hope Buffy can master her rage enough to forgive the Torchwood team or they may not let her out!

Also knowing what we know about the year that never was perhaps it would be better if Seo did spend the whole year locked up in a freezer? At least that would stop The Master from using her against Jack or The Doctor!

Review of chapter "Chapter Two" from Mcspender
Review:
Buffy has some very good points about how is life beyond the exciting. It's like they say about being a soldier: 98 % of the time is tear-inducing boring and the other 2% is scary as hell.
Cool chapter, see ya!!.
Comments from author:
Buffy has a lot of interesting points she can make to Seo that the Doctor can't. You should see her giving Seo a speech about how saving the world is flashy and impressive, but the part that really counts is doing the nitty-gritty boring stuff and not just running away after the excitement is over.

That's a speech you'll never hear from the Doctor.

Review:
Wow, it's a major tease for the next one! :-) I both can't wait and am terrified to see what happened during the lost time.
Comments from author:
Wait! The story's not over, yet! We've still got another little incident thingy, before we get to the Year that Never Was!

But... yeah. Look forward to the Year that Never Was.

Review:
Two points:

Firstly, 'fall' is the American word. Owen would say 'autumn'.

Secondly, I'm not sure where you're getting the "it must be May" thing from. There's no fixed da te for a UK election and it looks to me as though Saxon formed a coalition government with members defecting from the main parties during a national emergency, one which he set up of course.
Comments from author:
Oh. Thanks for the autumn thing. I'll change that.

I'm really pretty sure it takes place in May. I don't quite remember *exactly* where I got that from, but I'm pretty sure there were several different mentions in Doctor Who and Torchwood of those events taking place in May. Didn't someone say that Jack had been gone from Earth for three months, during that Utopia trip?

I might be getting mixed up from reading another fanfic or something. But I was pretty sure that all this stuff took place in May.

That's interesting about the elections thing, though. I didn't know about any of that. What you're describing sounds kind of like the Israeli Knesset, to me, or maybe the Canadian system. Which... I guess... would make sense, considering that both of those systems of government were based on the Brits.

Anyways.

This all takes place in May in my story. Basically just because I wrote it that way.

Poor Jack, unable to share the truth with anyone. Although maybe he should, I'm sure Buffy would believe him and it might help a little, to talk to someone about it.

So Alison is trying to fight "Da Power" from the inside?. Good luck to that xD!!!.
Cool chapter, see ya!!!.
Comments from author:
Hey -- Alison was the one who flagrantly defied Torchwood rules and regulations to protect Seo from Suzie. I can totally see Alison doing this!

Out of all the reasons a person could have for joining Torchwood. I think that is a good one :)

You gotta love Alison for doing this. Willing to give up everything to save her best friend.
