Review of chapter "Just a Feeling" from (Recent Donor)Hawklan
Review:
I must confess I don't know to much about this crossover, but nice to read either way so far. Tx. for sharing
Comments from author:
It's an old Sitcom from the 60s. Basically, Samantha and her family are hereditary Witches. They are very powerful and have the ability to alter reality with just a motion. Most witches like to wave of their hands though Samantha's favorite motion is a twitch of her nose. These witches also refer to ordinary humans as 'mortals' implying that they are at least extremely long-lived.

Mixing a light and fluffy sitcom with a somewhat dark drama series is quite a task. It would help explain why Tara was so nice despite her upbringing though! I can't wait to see who finds her first!
Comments from author:
Thank you. Though I think that balancing the powers of the witches in each series will be the harder task.

Review:
Tara might not be happy to find relatives looking her up. Imagine them showing up around the same time as dear old dad. Hey was that her brother in that ep, or just a cousin?
Great story idea.
Comments from author:
Male was her brother, (could be half-brother) Donny. Female was her cousin (on her father's side), Beth.

Review:
This is an interesting start but only time will tell how you will flesh it out.

Honestly I sort of see Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a further fleshing out of the Bewitched cosmology.

I mostly agree with your thought on all power having to have a balance but honestly I normally think of Bewitched and Sabrina the Teenage Witch to almost be exceptions to that concept.

I mean as sitcoms they follow the I Love Lucy formulas where the main characters are their own worst foils rather than some overriding external force or conflict.

Can't wait to see where you actually take this story.

Comments from author:
You could also call StTW fanfiction of Bewitched. :-) Then it kind of grew into its own thing.

That is a good point about sitcoms. Not sure if I can write it or not, but we'll see.

Are you aware that there was a short lived "Tabitha" TV series, that ran for 12 episodes in 1977? It starred Lisa Hartman as Tabitha Stevens, and had Robert Urich as her costar.

Aware of? Yes. Seen? No. Not taking it as canon.

Review:
I love the execution of this idea. Not the way you want to see Tabitha go out, but the show did kind of leave her as a blank slate. She was used more as a prop for Sam. I would love to hear Endoras views on the Council. I'm sure she would have run into them a time or two right? Also since the timing you have setup should put Sam and Endoras meeting with Tara right around her meeting with Willow, that influence should be interesting.
Comments from author:
Not sure when they'll run into Buffy and the council. But you're right about the timing.

What a cool original idea. I can't wait to read more of your story.

BTW, Endora was always one of my favorite TV characters and Samantha Stevens helped me get through puberty. She had the sexiest nose of all time.
Comments from author:
Yes, I know. I was sure that I was going to marry Samantha when I grew up.

Dude you killed Tabitha Jesus man!! And Xanders wonderful ability to attract powerfully sometimes dangerous women sends a warning shiver down his spine why do i think buffy and willow have got a shit avalanche head right toward their fan some how i don't see Sam/Endora liking willow and her abuse of magic/using her granddaughter/child as a crutch or Buffy's me slayer you do as i say attitude very much where are we season wise for Buffy cause i hope you make Xan somehow more important then he was in show for last 4 season where he got used as a sex toy (Anya), patronized, used as errand-boy (Buffy/Willow) used as a filler story/character when they couldn't come with any other stories (Whedon/writers) had most of what made him who he was ripped out and jammed up captain cardboard ass (Riley) sorry but i see Capt Cardboard as a ripoff of xander that's actually in the military but to stupid to realize his superiors are cracked
Comments from author:
Yes. Yes, I did kill Tabitha. You know what they say about child stars after all...

I don't know what I'll do about Buffy or Xander yet. I have so many Xander-centered stories that I'd rather he were less involved here. But I truly don't know.

Review:
A very interesting beginning with a cross I've never seen before!
I always thought Magic in the show was an allegory for Samantha's family being wealthy and Darren wanting them to live on his salary.
Comments from author:
Wow, never thought about it that way, but I can absolutely see it now that you mention it.
