Review:
interesting ending ^_^
Comments from author:
thanks... I try. ;)

hopefully there will be more in this universe - I've recently been working on something. And it's not one of the three sequel ideas I previously mentioned.

Review:
Your ending is great, just like Joss ended AtS seasons and the series. I really enjoyed your exploration of SGA as I only saw a few episodes here and there. Major props for the spin (and later rationalization) of Dawn being AU.
Comments from author:
Thank you! And yeah, with Dawn... I figured, add a bit of maturity, and Buffy's sense of responsibility... toss her into a situation where she's separated from the rest of the Sunnydale crew, she'd sort of naturally fall into a leadership role. The concept of her special ability was actually what I came up with first, but for her to use it, it sort of dictated that it had to be an SGA crossover.

Review of chapter "Overnight Mail" from AllenPitt
Review:
Good end to the story. When Rodney hears the testimony about her going through non-activated gates at will, he'll go nuts. The IOA might come close to ordering an investigation if they hear of it, Weir will probably oppose that & might win...the trade alliance is too important.
Sadly for Rodney, there's no way Dawn would give him the infos he has on the Key, too dangerous for her.
I have to wonder what an Ascended being would make of her....she's kind of a de-ascended being, in a way.
Comments from author:
Yes to pretty much all of that. Except for possibly the Ascended angle - I kind of think that she's something completely different (since she doesn't have the memories, etcetera, that the de-Ascended seem to have).

Review of chapter "Overnight Mail" from Chargone
Review:
Ahh!
It's good, and i guess they did solve what was up with the mailboxes...
Still, so many questions left unanswered! Admittedly, mostly only to the Atlantis team, and none really plot critical.

Well, lots of room for a sequel when/if you get to it, at least. Good work :D
Comments from author:
Or even two or three! I have three rough ideas floating around, but no actual writing done on any of them, and even a rough outline only for one of the three.

Ahhh, if only Rodney had been passing by just at that moment...heeheehee!! :D
Comments from author:
I'm sure he will hear about it. And there are possibly security cameras.

Review of chapter "Overnight Mail" from wrobison
Review:
I really enjoyed this story, both the first time around, and this re-write.

Though something finally tickled my nose when I was reading about the gate ramp. Unlike the Mountain gate in SG-1, in Atlantis, there isn't any ramp. The Gate is set into the floor, I looked up pics of the gate room to be sure.

Its a very minor technicality that has no bearing on the actual story.
Comments from author:
The ramp I'm referring to was installed on Atlantis' great staircase, which faces the Gate, to facilitate placing the Courier's box at the top of said staircase. It was mentioned in "The Treaty", and Mahaila wheeled the bike up the ramp earlier in the chapter (she went up the stairs while pushing the bike). Hence why it leads *down* when travelling toward the Gate.

I'm aware that the Gate is at floor level in Atlantis; it just seemed to me that placing the box at that level would be unlikely/impossible due to how much of the available space is taken up by the PuddleJumper when it uses the Gate. Plus, putting a ramp up the stairs opposite the Gate allowed for the dramatic effect of this closing scene... if you've ever watched a pro cycling time trial, it's modeled after one of their starting ramps.

Review of chapter "Overnight Mail" from maxthehobbit
Review:
The rewrite was definitely better than the original, but stopped a little abruptly, still it was a great story. Looking forward to continuing stories about the Courier.
Thanks!
Comments from author:
Same spot as the original... the ride off into the sunset/shock value ending. The story had gone where it needed to go...

As I mentioned, I do have three ideas for possible Courier stories... the two direct followups and a third story based on a later SGA episode. I've never done an episode rewrite before, but the story is compelling enough that I am leaning toward that as the next one.

The marines should tell Rodney about this as it would drive his ego sized brain up the wall. It was like Magic.

Review of chapter "Overnight Mail" from TheLandYacht
Review:
So...you end the story with the "graveyard shift" being the first to see Dawn transitioning the gate in her own unique fashion.

I'd have loved to had it be Rodney instead, and see his brain implode when he couldn't figure out how.
Comments from author:
I'm sure there's security camera footage or something like that. Rodney would definitely at least hear about it... I just decided to leave his reaction to the readers' imaginations (or a possible sequel).
