Review of chapter "Chapter One" from ChikaraKatherine
Review:
I like this, very diffrent from all the other Buffy raised by Durselys. So this begs the question is Harry dead or a non issues in this world? Either way I like how Buffy remembers her past life very clearly and is very much Buffy. This is really good. I would love to see Buffy say bah to the whole magic school thing. Perhaps saying her and magic non-mixxy. That and I'm pretty sure she would love to be in the Olympics. It would certainly throw a wrench into evil old Albus's plans. Then there's her family's reactions. I'm pretty sure aunty would cry with joy. Dispite her issues, Petuina did lose family members to magic. So being able to keep her sister's child away from all that. Would feel like victory for her. A saving of a life, considering her parnets, and Lilly were killed by it. (well first part is purly seculation, but its an excepted idea by most Harry Potter writers.) Besides with Buffy basical being an active slayer. She's in need of all that physical training. Which Hogwarts won't have, at any rate. So if she's going to end up at a magical school, perhaps she could end up at a diffrent one. One that brings in muggle parents, exct to be very envoled in the education of the child. Explaining the courses and the advantages of certain courses over others exct. Like a colage recuriter would any possible student and parents. Maybe something with magical beings, faires, Hipogrifths, exct. Showing her resepct, and doing things for her. Over all this is really a great idea and I'm thankful you choice to share it.

Okay wow, this one could be very cool. In addition to the Slayer Essence Wizards seem to be somewhat hardier than Muggles in the books. They don't bother to exercise but stay in reasonable shape except the ones that are very obviously complete couch potatoes. So a Slayer/Wizard who also exercises and works on their flexibility - yup world class athlete for sure.

Tom.
Comments from author:
A Slayer is already a world class athlete, just adding magical fortitude and other things to back her up, and she has that little extra push. The fact that being a Slayer enhances the healing also makes it possible for her to get hurt in training, and spring back from it in hours, if not days.
Broken arms heal in a few days, as compared to a few weeks or months, which shows how durable Slayers are, and with the bonus of taking from the Harry Potter books, injuries naturally heal faster, too, if you are particularly powerful.
The resolution to that sort of math isn't all that difficult to find.

Review:
Okay, based on your feedback and the narrative in this one, it appears that they all have their past live memories pretty well developed by the time their brains can handle (cognitively) the memories. What I liked about this one is that Dudley tried to become more active and accomplished to at least some small success.
Comments from author:
Dudley never really had anything to drive him competitively, since the Dursley's, at a young age, put Harry down a lot, but Buffy is a girl who doesn't really listen. Heck, she didn't listen when the Watchers Council told her that the best way to beat Glory was to sit back and let her do what she wanted, even when she was getting her head beaten into solid rock.
As for the mind, the mind of a child can exceed the memorisation and cognitive recognition of things far faster and more comprehensively than an adult can, hence the saying that 'you can't teach an old dog new tricks', and since we have no real basis of what a magical child's mind is capable of, but assuming that they use a little more brain power than the standard human does, then it just increases the capacity for understanding, retaining and even utilising the memories, assuming that you take into account the little details that are forgotten, like a particular outfit someone in the background wore while you were doing some mundane chore.

Review:
This is fun.

Maybe write one where Buffy and a more benevolent version of Willow are the children (limiting Willow's destruction to the truly evil)
Comments from author:
The intent was just to get them all rattled off before I forgot them all, at the moment, but the one I have up there right now is the 'Darth' version based off of the alternate future that was shown when Buffy went to the cross-promotional with Fray, and the other one will be a more 'cushy' version, which is shown when Willow went all 'Light Side' during her activation of all the Slayers, everywhere.

As soon as I have an idea of how to actually start that one, I intend to label the one I have up at the moment as the Darth version, while the other one will probably be something comical, like White Witch Willow Potter, or something.
