I read this one several times and it still made me grin. But having the ordinary and supernatural world shaking up with only mentioning your sisters name, that is so funny and so Dawn.

They probably never saw Buffy in real and when they will look at Buffy and notice how tiny she is. They will be 'scared' like shit or underestimate her again. I always love the underestimate part.

I would love to read where they see the ditzy blond in action. With that I mean acting like a ditzy dumb blond Barbie then finding out she is not but completely the opposite. Why she is called the best Slayer in time and why you won't hurt somebody she loves. A bonus she only hunts evil ones and will never judge you because of what you are but only for what you do and believes in second chances. Different and dark doesn't mean evil.
Hey, even unbalanced Richard and Anita will never now what hit them. Buffy knows how to become in peace with your other half and balance it by accepting it. Ying and Yang.

So could you, pretty, pretty please.

Interesting. Most stories that cross BtVS and ABVH (and isn't that an interesting similarity in titles - wonder if that'll ever be worked into a story) do so using different dimensions/worlds to explain the differences between the two settings. I look forward to seeing how you address the issue, what with the premise here being its the same world. Good job so far.

Ps. Yes, I'm catching up on my reading today. :)

Okay, you've got Anita done well.

Dawn, on the other hand, probably wouldn't threaten them with her sister. I'd imagine that Dawn would want to keep Buffy as far away as possible, because if she calls in Buffy she's going to get mollycoddled for the rest of her life.

Also, from the little I remember of the Anitaverse, vampires are a hell of a lot more dangerous than the Buffyverse variety. And Buffy, though strong, and capable of being a fantastic Executioner, would probably be swarmed under by vamps and weres if she went on a rampage. Unless, of course, there's some unknown backstory?

Oh, and you might want to make it more clear that the events of Buffy occurred before vamp legislation was enacted.
Comments from author:
... I thought I was clear in that Dawn is going to be hiding her condition from her sister and the scoobies as long as she can. She doesn't want Buffy to interfere, both due to said mollycoddling and the risk to the innocent, as it were in some cases, creatures of St. Louis.

The Anitaverse vamps *are* more dangerous but I'll address that later.

I will think about that last bit.

This would have worked much better if you did not try to fuse both worlds into one. Then start the story years later, with no background set-up.

Also your characters are little more than walking stereotypes.

May i suggest you restart, with Dawn getting sent to the Anitaverse for some reason and attacked. And it is going to take a month before Buffy and the gang can come too? Then probably another month before they can all leave again.

I do like BTVS/AB crossovers but agree that really you cannot logically do it and not have HUGE holes.

I mean seriously the bit about Sunnydale syndrome is hilarious- thinking that would stop the rest of the Supernatural world from knowing.

And vice versa- the BTVS people not knowing about what else was going on. Total BS.

And the two councils not going at each other- no way that would not happen. They would just because of what they are made up of.

And vampires having rights and so on- would NEVER happen. Once their existence is known it would be a HOLY war on them- and not in a good way. If you think the War on Terrorism went to extremes that would be NOTHING to what would happen in this case. That to me was always the most absolutely ridiculous part of the AB universe.

I'm reasonably sure I can plug the holes.

I tend to roll my eyes at attempts to cross BtVS and the Anita Blake series--they really aren't very compatible. This one does better than many I have seen, but I think there's still a big hole, that being why on Earth the Watchers and Slayer (or the Mayor of Sunnydale) were tolerated.

There's going to have to be some back story for this..
Comments from author:
If you mean legally then it's because the events of the show were before the vampire legality in the U.S.

If you mean the vampire council it's because while the Slayer is a pest she isn't really a threat. She's kept too busy hunting demons and staving off apocalypses, something which can only be favorable for them.

The mayor... with sunnydale syndrome and sunnydale being his stronghold it could be that the council either didn't know or couldn't act because he was too well entrenched.
