Review of chapter "Epilogue Two" from wonderbee
Threat to see this second part, and for me, shows that while Xander can get mighty angry with his girls, he also has a big heart as well, and he really does have what I would call Agape style love of Buffy and Willow.
Comments from author:
I was hoping to show how things could be resolved amicably, if Buffy and Willow simply gave Xander the same amount of respect they gave everyone else.

Awesome line;

"If it's any of those Jehovah Witness people, again, tell 'em that I'll be delighted to discuss theological dogma – if they can accept the fact that some people worship the deity called 'money'!"

Made the fic for me.
Comments from author:
Thanks, man. That's Anya, to the core. ;-)

Xander grinned at Anya's reply, "If it's any of those Jehovah Witness people, again, tell 'em that I'll be delighted to discuss theological dogma – if they can accept the fact that some people worship the deity called 'money'!"

Comments from author:
Yep. Anya likes to be completely up front with people. And there are probably a lot more of that deity's worshipers out there than will admit it. ;-)

Review of chapter "Epilogue Two" from DieselDriver
I like this "ending" a lot better than the first one. Leaves room for more story. In the other one, everyone's worries are over. If you must die, and you really must, we all do; going in your sleep, in an instantaneous burst of flame, completely unaware, can't be to bad a way to go.
Comments from author:
Yep, this is my preferred epilogue, too.

And instantaneous incineration is definitely the way to go, if you have to go. ;-)

Review of chapter "Epilogue Two" from OlBear
I prefer this epilogue to the other one. Though based on the canon actions of both Buffy and Willow in series six I doubt the two of them would try and reach out to Xander after having words with Dawn and Tara. Willow would most likely wipe Tara's mind and Buffy would simply consider that Dawn wouldn't know what she was talking about because of her age. Still a good story which I enjoyed.

P.S. I hope that you and your family have a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year
Comments from author:
Thanks for reviewing, man, it's much appreciated. ;-)

I was trying to show that, in *this* 'verse, Buffy and Willow were so shaken by Xander's diatribe that they actually sat back and gave some serious thought to what he said, and what Dawn and Tara said, as well. The two stick-figure idiots shown in Season Sux Part Deux using Buffy's and Willow's names had virtually no sense of right or wrong, and absolutely no wisdom when it came to morality, and were nothing more than Marti's sock puppets, advocating her idiocy. (puke!)

I hope you and your family have a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year, too! ;-)

Different perceptions of what happened on the show aside, very well written piece.
Comments from author:
Yeah, everyone's perceptions of what happened and the reasons for them can either make shows very interesting, or make you want to throw things at the screen. ;-(

Review of chapter "Epilogue Two" from djhardim
Very good - definitely the better of the two endings. It may take a few such meetings, but I have hope for the Scoobies.

I had occasion to watch the final episode with Tara several months ago - very strange. Unless someone else had shown up to talk with Buffy, I'm not sure that Warren would fired the second shot.

If I recall correctly, Warren turned to leave, and almost as an afterthought fired the gun over his shoulder without looking (perhaps to discourage Xander from following him). The gun itself was pointed upwards at an angle. At the very least, Warren should be deaf in that ear.
Comments from author:
As I indicated, this is my preferred epilogue, since the other is too Joss-ian. ;-(

And the problems with plot incongruities, idiocies and unresolved questions and puzzles throughout the entire series are far too vast to even contemplate. :-u

Review of chapter "Epilogue One:" from kdakmmt
First this ending made me laugh. Second so did some of the reviews that I read. Xander, with the exception of not training alongside Buffy, did ok until season 3 when the writers decided to make him their buttmonkey and pretty much used him for whatever crap they couldn't dump on anyone else. Next college happens and he gets left behind making him lonely enough to take up Anyas offer, Buffy and Willow cant really complain as they are too wrapped up in their own stuff and of course Buffy still calls herself "The Slayer" even though Faith is actually "The Slayer" Can we say ego much?. Fun and parties thru first year of college and more buttmonkery(???).... along comes the dreaded moment, the season of the Peroxide Bimbo, the ability to watch is wavering. Retconning Dawn into the series and making us put up with the whiney "Wheres my key!" and the whiney "why doesnt anyone pay attention to me?" was a bit irritating. Xander is still the buttmonkey. Buffy dies, scoobies mourn and the uber ego decides "I have the tools, I can fix it" and brings Buffy back setting up the craptacular season sux and season of the lame writing. Even more buttmonkey action going on.... So here in this story, Xander who by this time has been a buttmonkey for a few years makes a clean break and moves on. I say more power too him for removing himself from being the buttmonkey. Too bad it was his buttmonkey status that was keeping the world safe... (wow I said buttmonkey alot in this review lol)
Comments from author:
I really can't - and won't - argue with anything you said. ;-)

One possible result of the separation.

I'm working on another possibility, as time and Real Life allow.

Well.... i guess neither side really got what they wanted. Except for the PTB, they must have been happy to see the backside of Xander. Too bad it didn't work out for them either. Hope your wife is better soon and that your stones either get a rest or some fun times. Of course, you could grow to like the sensation and that would be bad too....
Comments from author:
My opinion is that the PTB end up with squat regarding Earth, since everything is now ashes and burnt out ruins. And that's pretty much all that those putzes deserve.

And thanks for the kind words. My wife is doing better, and we expect/hope that things will be getting better in the future.

Review of chapter "Epilogue One:" from bradsan
I would say good riddance. How can he judge Buffy about Spike while he is dating a former demon who did had a soul while committing her crimes. Willow will hopefully turn back to that sweet girl with a mind of her own and not afraid showing it.

Xander is a jealous, pathetic, cheating and hypocrite person who needs to learn the world isn't just black and white. And needs to learn that others have a life of their own and don't need his control to live it.

Edit: like Xander could kill Anya after all her kills and Willow when she skinned a human still alive and tried to end the world. So Xander is excused but Buffy isn't. doesn't seems fair to me. Anyanka and Willow had both their souls when they did the killing. I never understood the soul part. It's a choice you make the soul doesn't make any difference.

I don't think loving some one doesn't stops after three months. Shows that Buffy is also human and has human feelings. And she did kill Angel at the end or send him to hell. Xander had more demon lovers than all the others. Willow had a werewolf as her lover. They all have their share of demonic lovers. Anya killed more humans than Angel and Spike ever could together and both times she chooses to be a demon and loved being it.
Being a slayer she needs a strong person to cope with her otherwise she has to hold back all the time or she would break them. And another thing nobody can decide for you who you can love or not. Spike and Buffy used each other and if they are alright with it nobody has the right to judge them about it. In the end he gave his life for her/them. It's the grey part everybody forgets.

A well this will always be an issue because we all have, thank god, our own thoughts about certain things and that's what we call a mind of our own.

Still love your stories and read them even when I don't agree with everything. I still love to read them. So good job on your account.
Comments from author:
If anyone is a hypocrite here, it is Buffy, who is on record as refusing to stake Angelus when the opportunity was available after she managed (with significant help from Xander) to destroy the Judge at the Sunnydale Mall fiasco, as well as refusing to let anyone else even attempt to do so when she failed to perform her duty.

Screwing a vampire - which is actually nothing more than a demon wearing a dead body as a meat suit is not something that any rational or intelligent person would do. Taking up with a second vampire - who had spent the previous several years either attempting to kill everyone involved with the Scooby Gang, betraying them to their primary enemy during their freshman year of college, then stalking her and having a sexbot made in her image does little to foster the image of Buffy as either sane or someone worthy of the devotion she demanded. She didn't even have the excuse that 'he has a soul' (which she used to justify her 'dating' Angel) when she was initially screwing Spike. Definitely not a very heroic image, is it?

And Willow was *never* a 'sweet girl.' She was portrayed from the very beginning of the series, as sneaky, scheming and manipulative, trying to acquire power any way she could manage, although she also lacked any sort of backbone.

Response to edit:

ALL of the Scoobies screwed up - repeatedly - but I don't see why Xander is typically held ot a higher moral standard than any of the others, simply because he the 'normal guy.' It stinks of hypocrisy to me.

In any event, you're right about everyone having their own opinions, and everyone is entitled to them.

Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Review of chapter "Epilogue One:" from BlueEyedBrigadier
Not a completely unexpected result...the world exploding due a key linchpin (Xander) being missing. Now, whether S6 canon still managed to occur as we know it - Darth Rosenberg and the Temple of Prospexpina (sp?) - or some other horrible catastrophe - the Trio pulled out the really big guns or the Key energy still in Dawn was violently disrupted or Rack drained Willow and went on a rampage - happened, that's up to the reader I imagine. Still, this is a well-shaped ending, GW :P

On a personal note? You have my greatest sympathies due to your situation and you take all the time necessary to get re-oriented. Real Life is often a vindictive harridan and muddling through the temper tantrums is trying at the best of times. As a wise man noted "We're pullin' for ya...all in this together."

Comments from author:
The exact cause of this particular apocalypse is immaterial at this point in time, since there isn't anyone around to debate the matter anymore. ;-)

And thanks for the kind words. I greatly appreciate them.

Review of chapter "Epilogue One:" from Xovervore
Chapter One - Xander the self-pitying wanker.
Chapter Two - he gets the punishment he deserves (of course, so does everyone else, the deserving and the undeserving).
BTW, I like canon Xander, but dislike asshole Xander.
Comments from author:
I don't think that Xander is portrayed as nearly as self-pitying and bemoaning his fate as Buffy was constantly shown as being throughout the entire series. His objecting to being treated with contempt and abuse is not being an asshole. Had any of the women been treated that way and reacted in the same manner, it would be considered a positive action of standing up for themselves.

And since you like canon Xander, does that mean you support the generally misanthropic tone constantly displayed by the various female characters towards Xander? If a woman had been treated half as badly by any male character as Xander was treated by the various Buffy women, there would have been endless screaming about abuse and misogynistic attitudes. However, since it was a guy being treated in that manner, it was apparently okay.

Your attitude screams of hypocrisy with regard to the acceptability of various characters' behaviors.
