Review of chapter "She's All That... And a Bag of Chips" from Serin
Review:
So check it, I am going back through this series of Darcy the Slayer when I finish up this little addition. And I it fits in with what you have had in an earlier story; specifically this little segment

"Phil?" Pepper asked, concerned.

"It's springtime," Coulson replied.

Pepper thought for a moment, then went wide-eyed. "Oh! How bad is it?"

"They're calling in all Slayers on the Eastern Seaboard. The rest are on standby if the first 'wave' fall," Phil replied.

Tony threw his hands into the air. "Okay, will someone tell me what the hell is going on? Pepper?"

"Spring is apocalypse season in the supernatural world," Pepper said softly.

Right here is the part where this story really ties in, for me at least

Now all you have to do is answer the questions:

When did Pepper get Called? Pre-Buffy? Sunnydale mass empowerment?

and

How did the line continue past her (assuming Pre-Buffy calling)?

oh, and here's another: Is Natasha Romanov a potential; uncalled? Keep in mind her aging is retarded by the super-soldier serum. Also, her morals/ethics at the age of calling may have prevented it.
Comments from author:
I'm having Pepper called during the Sunnydale mass empowerment.

As for Natasha, I don't think she's going to be a potential or Slayer. She's just that awesome without the 'extras'...

Now I want to see Pepper stake a vamp with a pair of chopsticks, and Darcy being gobsmacked.

I feel all warm after rereading your series. It's a sickness, I tell you ;)
Comments from author:
That would be awesome... I don't think I'll do it, but the image makes me grin.

And, I'm glad you like the series! I reread it from time to time for a giggle or two. :)

I just marathoned this series last night. Anyway, I liked Coulson's analysis: That revealing Pepper's Slayerness would cause only cause problems.
Comments from author:
I like the idea Pepper using the abilities of a Slayer secretly in her life. The idea of her 'stalking' through board meetings makes me grin.

To GraysonPaladin:

Coulson, who would know as he's a spare-time Watcher in this, summed it up succinctly when he spoke of what exactly Extremis enhanced.. and what it did not.

Being a Slayer would help explain Pepper's rather well developed sensibilities when it comes to Tony's roguish behavior.

I refer to the famous "Face it, Pep; this isn't the worst thing you've caught medoing" scene (in which she didn't really freak out until she found the bullet holes).

Pepper a Slayer? So that begs the question... in IM3 how much of the action with the Extremist Virus, or whatever the human-bomb serum is called, was due to the virus or due to her slayerness? I like Tony's answer to her confession.
Comments from author:
Based on the Maya Hansen's explanation of Extremis in IM3, it doesn't add fighting abilities. It only enhances the human body, making it hardier, easier to heal, etc.

As for Tony's answer... It was just such a Tony thing to say. :)

(Falls down laughing)

Very nice fic.

I'm glad to see you're putting more stuff up as it'd been a while.

Iron Man III was a great movie, I just wish they'd not used the Mandarin for it, or revealed he was even further back manipulating things. Or had integrated the 'Ten Rings' into the concept more.

Definitely better than Iron Man II.
Comments from author:
I'm glad you liked it!

I pretty much go where my muses lead me. Hopefully, there will me more soon...

I agree with your thoughts of Iron Man III. I did like the twist with the Mandarin, but I wanted more Ten Rings in the movie.
