Review of chapter "Chapter Four." from DieselDriver
Review:
Would have been really funny to have a scene where the bow specs were passed along and their eyes bugged out.
Comments from author:
Did think of that but I didn't know enough about bows to make it realistic.

Cheers,
D.

Review:
Yeah, “You say old,” Faith sipped her coffee and made a face before putting it down, “I say experienced.” Old age and treachery wins against any young inexperienced, ah, person.
Comments from author:
Exactly!

Give them hell Faith, given them hell.
Nice to see Cordy dealing with such an honorless coward like Neidermyer is... was. That talks about her growth as a character and a as warrior. And using the Mozambique drill was awesome.

I really wanna see the end of this tale =).

Cool chapter, see ya!!!.
Comments from author:
See Taps tonight.

As always thanks for reading.

Not familiar with the cross, but I'll assume your story was hampered by it; you've written better stories.
Looking forward to the next.
Comments from author:
You think?

The end could have gone several different ways, I just happened to chose this one for my own reasons.

'Taps' will be up tonight.

Cheers,

Review of chapter "Chapter Twelve." from fanreaderonetwo
Review:
A very good story, if predictable due to its source,
tho ISTR the gay medic had a better final quip before being killed in the movie.

Nitpick, Faith _knew_ she was running low on ammo for the LMG,
so why didn't she grab an AK and ammo from her kills? Carrying a spare AK wouldn't have hampered her noticeably. For that matter grab AK mags for the other troops to use.
Obviously she should have grabbed LMG ammo, or a spare LMG if one of the kills was carrying one.

The whole thing of her using her pistol at the end when there had been so many available AKs seems like something a bad Hollywood writer uses.
Comments from author:
The idea of using the pistol at the end was to show how desperate the fight was. I was always taught that if you had to use apistol you'd screwed up big time.

And yes in the safety of your home/computer game its easy to say Faith or whoever could have picked up spare weapons or ammo. In real life the bad guys don't give you the chance.

Cheers,
D.

Review:
Neidermeyer got off light, but then Cordy was a Marine not a CIA torture master. If Faith died, she went out the way a soldier should protecting her buddies, if not hopefully she isn't crippled or worse. Great writing on the fight getting out of Yemalia.
Good writing is always a pleasure to read.
Comments from author:
Thank-you so much.

Review of chapter "Chapter Twelve." from Cordyfan
Review:
Great story - it more than does justice to the film. I'm hoping that Faith made it out of there, but the title of the (last?) story? I'm not so sure. Pity Neidermeyer was allowed such a clean and quick end, but Cordy isn't really the sort to do anything else.

Thanks for writing this.
Comments from author:
Yep, I never thought of Cordy as someone to do the 'messy' vengeance...vengeance yes but not anything really horrible!

Cheers,
D.

Review:
Very good: very sad. The mercenaries lot is often not a happy one.

We didn’t see Faith’s corpse, so perhaps reports of her death have been much exaggerated. I hope.

We all owe you very many thanks for many brilliant stories in FitA, and all the rest of your writings. Please continue.

You're too kind,

Review of chapter "Chapter Twelve." from AndreaMaine
Review:
It's sad that Faith met her end in the red clay soil of Africa fighting, but then as a Slayer and perhaps a proto Spartan it was most fitting. Cordy made Neidermyer pay though. Just wish the Buffster could have noticed the type of heroes Cordy and Faith had become, then again Buffy Anne Summers was never one to notice just how much help those around her actually gave her.
Comments from author:
Thanks,
D.

Review of chapter "Chapter Ten." from Ltlconf
Review:
Howdy!

The Marines have a saying, "Never trust a Frog under 40." A 'frog' being a CH-46, the USMC variation of a Chinook. Of course, THIS Chinook hasn't been lovingly maintained by Marine groundcrews so no reason to trust it.
My buddies still in say they're gonna miss the Frogs (being replaced by the Osprey).

Using the Law of the Sea is truly ingenius! They're right: they ditch, the nearest naval vessel has to rescue them. Period. Even if it's just to rescue them then arrest them!

So Mr Jerk-Ass not only crossed the mercs and the Raisuli he's crossed the freakin CIA! And Faith's parents being who they are...it's gonna be race to see who gonna kill Neidermyer first. I can picture Cordy, the Colonel and RSM, and the Taskers standing over a bound Neidermyer (as he's piddling down his leg) arguing over who gets to torture and kill him first! This time I don't think that he's getting off being dumped at dam in his undies and a few rounds let out at his feet. But I do think it'll be quicker than he deserves.

The summery was more a reminder that Faith tends to be a bullet magnet it these situations: Folks tend to try REEEAL hard to kill the person most effective at killing them! And that's Faith.
Yeah, the Lions are the Pasha's best, but I betting they still had to be kicked to jump that fast! But yeah, once kicked they'll be like hornets boiling outa a shaken nest!

If anyone can land that model fully loaded on the water it's a Marine. My own experience was on land and less controled...but he pulled it off! Go Cordy!!!

The Cracker!
Comments from author:
My own faith in helicopter pilots is tainted by having been dropped at seemingly random points in hostile territory by the RAF. Like the Polish guy in A Bridge Too Far it was wise to check what uniform they were wearing!

And don't worry something really unpleasant will happen to a certain CEO.

Cheers,
D.

You know it would per their luck if they arrived at beach to find it mined.
It's possible they could use that mined beach to push the enemy as a crude mine clearing force of course said force would be reduced to bloody meaty chunks of sushi
Comments from author:
Lesson one; avoid the beach!

Cheers,
D.
