Review of chapter "Incomplete Victory" from Hyperion
Review:
Another excellent chapter, and the story continues to develop better and better. I likes how Lilah figured out an effective way of dealing with Sandrow, hopefully in a manner that will be rather permanent, and I count what, 15 less vampires running around in the LA area now. I would think that if Sandrow would contact Lindsey, not only would he and likely some of his remaining living flunkies end up rather dead, I could see Lindsey and other at the W&H LA branch having to keep an eye out and crack down a bit on some of their clients that might have any dealings with AI. The last thing they are going to want is Lilah getting killed and all of the information she has on Wolfram & Hart coming to light on account of her getting killed by some third rate thug.

Something else I've wondered, don't know if you had or will have any plans to look at this, but it was mentioned in season 5 of Angel, and Lilah even mentioned it one or two times in this story that W&H effectively owns/controls the LAPD. Might there be any possibility of Lilah's information that she has given the AI team leading to a confrontation with someone/something tied to the LAPD? Maybe one of the safe houses that her mother is located at is owned or used by the cops or something, or someone in the department does some dirty work running some W&H safehouses or guarding clients on the side or something? Might be a good angle to look at, maybe temporarily weaken Wolfram & Hart's influence in the department as well.

Interesting possibilities, yes.

Review of chapter "Knocking Over Dealers" from Hyperion
Review:
Scratch one drug dealer and a whole host of flunkies. And the AI crew is a little better off financially as a result as well. Stuff like this will not be crippling or long term damaging to Wolfram & Hart, but it's still not a good thing for them. Once word gets out of what has just happened, I could see some of their lower and mid level clients being nervous, acting a bit more cautiously for a while.

Something else I've been wondering, even though it wasn't a major issue or even hinted at until season 5 of Angel, does Lilah know about or have any information in regards to the Circle of the Black Thorn? Even if she isn't fully aware of the group or what they actually represent at this moment, perhaps she has some relevant information on the files she's given the AI team that touches on one or two of the members of that organization, though probably nothing that mentions the name of that group directly or anything. While a lot of the members or groups that made up the Circle might be too powerful or dangerous at the moment for the AI team to go after, that would be rather ironic of they where to go after an individual member of the Circle, and either kill one or do major damage, without having a clue about who they just attacked. Someone lower tier like that Senator Helen Brucker might make sense. Powerful given her job position but not very physically threatening, considering they sent Gunn to kill her in canon.

Something else I've been thinking of recently after rereading this story. A lot of the information Lilah has seems to be directly involving current employees and leadership at the Wolfram & Hart LA branch. If things start getting bad, might the Senior Partners decide that new management at the LA office is necessary and decide to go in and clean house as a result?
Comments from author:
Lilah doesn't know the circle exists. She knows of most of the clients involved, but not their other roles as part of the Circle. Information about them could well be in the computer files, but the issue remains that for AI, W&H isn't the primary target most of the time, and going after any of these clients right now is a little bit too much exposure and risk. Besides, clients that important to the firm would probably fit more into the other half of the data, the stuff Lilah can't hand over because that would be big enough - or close to it - for Lindsey to have to take a risk now before she releases more.

As for the Senior Partners cleaning house, this is possible, but not garunteed - the firm could get people to restaff the place quickly (they did manage it in canon after all), but it would logically be an expensive endeavor. They'd probably prefer to avoid a complete house cleaning or even a mostly complete one just to avoid the post-cleaning restaffing. The SP are evil, but also obviously pragmatic.

Review of chapter "Have Fun Storming The Castle" from Hyperion
Review:
Another nice update. Rehashing most of the episode from Lilah's POV wasn't half bad, and well worth the read.

Now that the Fang Gang is back in LA at the end of season 2, will the next chapter(s) pick up in season 3, or will we see how things play out with Lilah having a chance to meet Willow face to face? It was mentioned earlier in the story that some of the materials she took from Wolfram & Hart included information that the Senior Partners had collected on Buffy and the Scoobies, so giving Willow a bit of a heads up might not be a bad idea.

Going forward, any chance that with Fred now around and Lilah potentially staying with the Angel Investigations team on a somewhat longer term basis, not to mention all the money that Lilah brought with her that they could put to use down the line, that there might be some interactions between the Sunnydale group and the LA group going forward. At the very least, keeping in touch with each other on a regular basis isn't a bad idea.
Comments from author:
There's no reason to believe they didn't stay in regular contact - it just doesn't show onscreen. Lilah's arrival wouldn't affect that.

Glad you liked it.

Watch that episode of Angel again. Season 2 of Angel happens alongside Season 5 of Buffy. And what happens in the last episode of Season 5 Buffy?

Review of chapter "Rebel Yell" from Hyperion
Review:
Excellent update and glad to see you still writing. Short as you said but still a nice chapter, and I think it works well setting up for further chapters.

I look forward to seeing more updates for this story and your other works in the future, but if work, family, and other commitments come up, do what you have to do. I'd rather see you taking that extra few weeks or month or so between updates and having your affairs in order then to see you rush yourself and burn yourself out of writing. You've done an excellent job with this story and your other works, and I for one have no problem waiting a bit longer between updates.

:)

You could just do a summary of the parts that are exactly like the show.
Comments from author:
That would be most of the chapter, Rax. But the extra dialogue from Lilah (and the changed dialogue in reaction to her) is important to developing, in a logical way, her transition from hostile person renting a room they don't trust forward to not that.
