Love seeing Spike taking such good care of Dawn and giving her such sound advice. That's one of the aspects of Spike's character that I liked best in the later seasons: his caring for Dawn, even in Buffy's absence.

Review of chapter "set apart this dream" from CrystalBlaze
Review:
I assume this is the setup for a series of follow up stories.

It'd be interesting for a woman connected to life and nature like Ororo to come across a fairly humane but unapologetic vampire like Spike, particularly in a position of guardianship.

I know the heart of a vampire is stilled, but since the head must stay attached, I assume the brain functions in some form, else the chip wouldn't work. Thus, telepaths can somewhat read him.

Only somewhat; the chip IS in him and probably provides static.

Jean will be surprised to meet Spike (unable to read anything from his mind at all). Is Dawn related to Scott at all, maybe?
Dawn might jump at the chance to get away from Sunnydale... Spike would likely insist on going along, though....

Poor Dawnie, Magneto is her grandfather, and she lost both her mother and sister. Plus she is a fake human being.

Review of chapter "it's all over but the crying" from dreameralways
Review:
This is very interesting. I wonder if anyone has even thought of the Buffy bot yet, not that I think it would fool Jean or Storm for long. What happens when they realize she has no legitimate guardian yet has friends who consider her family and would kill to protect her? It's a shame this is only season 5. Post series Willow squaring off with Phoenix would be epic. Right now Willow is pretty powerful but it's mostly due to her magic addiction so who knows how that would go. Hopefully there won't actually be any showdowns since they are all good guys, but the introductions should be pretty confusing for our X-Men. I would assume that the Scoobies should have some concept of mutants.

Oh god, they're opening a whole can of worms that they don't even understand. I love that Dawn's power is electricity. It's different but still kinda similar to Magneto. Plus, Storm will be a huge help for her, I think. I can't wait to read more from this series!

Ooh, things are starting to gather steam here...wonder if/when any of them will find out about her bloodlines. The locket may even be some sort of beacon for Erik.

Review:
Poor Dawn! But at least she may have a safe, non-Hellmouth refuge in which to make new 'family' connections, if she decides to go to Xavier's school (and if the school is willing to let Spike accompany her, since I don't imagine he'd be okay with Dawn on the other side of the country from him, negating his last promise to Buffy). :)
