Review of chapter "Chapter One: Dawn of a New Day" from FireWolfe
Review:
This was a lot of fun to read. I do find it ironic and hypicritical of Damon to kill Taylor when his own brother is a killing machine. It seems they are just pure irrational where this Elena chick is concerned. The easiest way to solve the issue would be to simply kill her off then there be no risk of hybrids. Oh well I guess its all about who matters to you. I find it ridiculus that Caroline falls for Klaus when he the reason for Taylor's death if he had not been turned he would not have been compelled to be an idiot. However again its just insane that everyone values one girl over the rest of the town. Never been a fan of the VD but the way you weaved the story was fun and I can see it being interesting to see some of the family maybe seeking redemption. Klaus is a lost cause I so can not see anyone forgiving him any time soon unless he changes massively. I have a feeling that you intend to turn Faith eventually which would be sad really as she so damned alive but it could make an inteeresting story arc. Anyway I did enjoy this so thanks for writing it.
Comments from author:
I will eventually get around to posting the sequel to this one sometimes this summer, I hope. If you're interested, you can find it on fanfiction under the same handle. The title to sequel is Undone By Love. Turning Tyler, though, did NOT kill him. It kept him from having to turn. Damon killed Tyler. Klaus is NOT responsible for Damon's actions. Faith is all human in the sequel. However, if I was going to make one of the slayers a vampire, I'd probably choose her. If you're not a fan of VD, though, I'm not sure you'll like the sequel.

Thanks for reading!

Review of chapter "First Days" from maxthehobbit
Review:
I never even knew there was a show named 'Angel' till I read about it in fan fiction. I managed to find it, but only saw about four episodes when it went off the channel it was on. What amazed me was Cordelia, a much different Cordy than when she was on BtVS, a much better character. Illyria cracks me up by the way she talks, pity I never saw her on Angel, but I'll be getting the DVD set soon. Fan fiction led me to purchase the DVD set for Stargate SG-1 which was another show I never heard of, but I love the DVD set. After reading so much of this story I might get the DVD set for Vampire Diaries, until I read this story I thought it was a book, not a TV series.
Great writing, very entertaining.

Edit: Looks like I'm stuck with DVD's for now. I have Comcast cable and it doesn't carry the CW channel in Colorado. I checked on that when SMG had a new series on that channel, which has been cancelled now.
Comments from author:
Yes, Cordy is much better developed in "Angel". She becomes was one of the bests because she learns to have empathy. VD is great the first 3 seasons. The Original family is such a tremendous creation, though, that the characters begin to eclipse the VD characters. The Originals are introduced in season 2 of VD. You should check out the new "Originals" on the CW. It is EXCELLENT. In fact, I'd recommend it over VD. I cannot oversell it. Elijah has replaced both Damon and Angel in my heart! :) I'm impressed that you can follow this because I do write thinking people who would be interested in it know about the shows. I'm glad you were able to enjoy it anyway. Klaus is the bad boy you love to hate as is Damon. The difference, though, is Klaus has moments of true evil. In VD world, he is the strongest and baddest thing there is. In Buffy's world he'd be just another day at the office. I hope you get a chance to watch! Thanks for reading!

Review:
Good battle in the final scenes. This is labeled as Buffy centered, but it is just as much about Willow. You also had some good parts about Dawn. I never can figure out who I like better... Buffy, Willow or Dawn, they are all such great characters and while Buffy & Willow are kind of set in their ways, Dawn can be almost anything since she wasn't on the show all that much. I liked the way you ended it with Klaus going off to travel with Oz, who knows what could happen, maybe turn Klaus into a nice guy.
Thanks for writing such an interesting story, I'll track you so I can get a heads up when you post the sequel.
Comments from author:
Yes, I started it off more Buffy centered, but you're right, Willow is pretty equal. Dawn wouldn't even be on my list of favorites, so I'm glad my dislike of her character doesn't show! :)

I've got some editing to do then I will start posting the sequel. I'm really liking it, so I'll try not to keep you waiting too long! Klaus has a bigger role in the sequel.

Thanks!

Review of chapter "Back in Mystic Falls" from maxthehobbit
Review:
I've never read the 'Vampire Diaries,' but I'm enjoying this. Only one thing that's kind of strange ... Willow, Dawn and Buffy spilling their secrets to people they barely know, especially Dawn telling that she is the 'key.' It would add an extra 3-6 chapters to have them get cozy with their new friends and then spill the secrets and it might get kind of boring, this way everything is out in the open fast and the action starts right away. I guess this is sort of a serious story, but I find the interaction between the characters to be pretty damned funny. Good story!
Comments from author:
Well, I'm not sure how much you can appreciate without having watched VD, but I'm glad you like it! It was my first crossover attempt. I never keep secrets for long. ON BTVS Buffy never tried to hide who she was once they saw her slay a vamp. She was never overly secretive. It always bothers readers, though, but I just don't see it!

Thanks!

Would be so nice if Klaus would stop the fighting, but then you wouldn't have a story. Would be funny though if the guy he found was Riley...or one of Buffy's past paramours. LOL
Comments from author:
Actually, it won't be really at all anyone that important to Buffy, but you will NOT be disappointed! :)

Thanks!

ROFL.
I like this fic.
I can't really wait for Ric or Damon to say something concerning her size to Buffy :)
Comments from author:
Doesn't Damon say something about tiny woman telling him what to do? If not, it's in the story somewhere! Glad you're enjoying it. More soon!

Review of chapter "No Secrets Anymore" from liit
Review:
I totally agree with bradsan. The scoobies are spilling their secret way too much like there's no tomorrow. You would think that almost a decade of experience that they'll be more cautious especially telling to ppl that connects to the bad guys. I mean what the heck is the point if vampires cant compel slayers but it's okay for the rest of their group to spills their secret anywax.
Story is great just i dont understand why the scoobies especially dawn n willow just blab about their life.
Comments from author:
I disagree. Why do they need to keep secrets? Tony already saw some proof AND they know what Willow and Buffy can do. The cat is out of the bag. Get over it!

Review of chapter "Laying it on the Line" from bradsan
Review:
Great story. Looking forward for the next update.

Giles compared Spike with Damon. Totally different situation.
Spike never killed anyone after the chip/soul and the ones he killed he was under control of the first. So not his actions. Damon handle out of revenge and that's never a good thing.

Why would Giles say that in front of everybody. They don't know those people good enough to know who you can really trust and who not. Why would they spill everything about themselves to strangers and Dawn I don't think she would tell everything about the stitch, buffy dying, all the Slayers all over the world, Willow, being the key etc. All their important secrets are in the open. They would never tell all those thing there are more life's at stake now. This isn't Sunnydale where you can tell and be forgotten in no time and they know it. This is the only thing I don't understand because there is one thing you can say about the Sunnydale crew they don't want to bring their slayers and themselves in any danger because of spilling to much. especially to strangers. People they don't know long enough to know their real intentions.

Again the only thing I don't agree with. apart from that I enjoy reading this story.

edit: darn I already told you that in another review. I forgot about that.
Comments from author:
Yep, and I still completely disagree. But I hope you enjoy the story anyway! :)

Review of chapter "Hard Blow" from clei
Review:
After the slayers left, Kol was suddenly released and fell to the ground. He quickly got up. "Finn is dead! How was that possible?" he demanded looking down at his brother whose head had rolled a few feet away from his body. The head had turned gray. There was no question that he was dead.

The siblings surrounded their brother's body and looked down at him. "I don't know, little brother," Klaus said somberly. And he didn't. For once, something had happened that he neither understood or had foreseen.

"But we're going to find out," Klaus added.

Review:
However, I do have one criticism. It seems to me that the Scoobies are sharing way too much information without a good reason, to people they have no real reason to trust. It is almost like they were dosed with their own truth serum. It seems way out of character for them to warm up to these people so fast.
Comments from author:
Elena is perfectly in character. She isn't whiny. She has a right to be upset.

Buffy has never held tightly to her secrets-hence the Scoobies. How easily did they share with Oz and Cordelia etc. Common goals, common secrets, etc.

Problem is, Oz and Cordelia actually had something in common with Buffy and the others. That's not really the case here.

For instance, why would Dawn basically tell any of these people she really doesn't know that she was/is the Key, given all the grief she been through because of it, and quite frankly knows that Buffy and the others wouldn't approve of it?

It just reads wrong.

Review of chapter "Getting Into Position" from ScorpioP
Review:
I delayed reading this because I thought at first "the Ripper" might be Giles turned into a vampire. Glad to see that wasn't the case.

I've only watched the first season and a bit of the second season of Vampire Diaries, so I can't say I know the characters that well. From what I recall, their voices are pretty spot-on, although Elena seems a bit whiny and nervous. (Although I suppose partnering with people who call themselves vampire slayers when your boyfriend and his brother are vamps would do that to you.)

However, I do have one criticism. It seems to me that the Scoobies are sharing way too much information without a good reason, to people they have no real reason to trust. It is almost like they were dosed with their own truth serum. It seems way out of character for them to warm up to these people so fast.

Review:
great update.
Heaven exist well he want to talk to Buffy about that I think. Wonder how she will react to that on the other hand. If it gives hope maybe she will talk about her time at peace.

wonder what they will think when they discover that she had to dig herself out of her grave. I never could decide what was the most cruel part. Being ripped from heaven or your biggest nightmare become real.
Comments from author:
Yeah, that was pretty messed up on Willow and companies part. What did they think would happen if the spell worked? Really shortsighted! I do bring that up a few times. Thanks!
