1) I'd say Atlantis has a similar knowledge of gods that the Amazons do. So they may recognize a being of magic

2) They'll kill Wilkins after Superman is far enough away. Then find a way to duplicate him in order to have a false giant snake in prison, just for the League visitors
Comments from author:
1) Very definitely. Chances are Superman himself is suspicious enough after the vampires drew blood and how the fight was going before the explosion that he'll phrase the Mayor in terms of "This is what I've seen personally. I've heard second-hand speculations on its history, what do you guys make of it?" rather than accepting the alien story at face value and passing it on blindly.

2) Yeah, that would be one practical thing to do. Not a route I'm planning on taking... Although if I did it would be along the lines of: Killing the Mayor in prison, animating his corpse through enough sea life and... "I'm sorry, Superman, all our 'hidden' escape tunnels open directly into our live fire range and he had very bad timing. Putting down what was left of him after that was an act of mercy."

Thanks. Do plan to. Writing Gotham's social life isn't something I have tried before... But I think I can make it work :)

Review of chapter "Prologue: Graduation Day" from AllenPitt
Fun. Did Superman kill off Angel while scouring the field for 'vampires'? For that matter, I'd think the Mayor should count himself lucky, being in a zoo is better than being dead (considering all the soul-selling contracts he'd signed). Plus if he's now a Greater Demon, odds are Atlantis won't hold him long...
Comments from author:
Heh, Superman didn't kill off a single demon, it's not how he rolls. Will have Joyce comment on it in a later chapter, probably something about Buffy and the gang having a field day when they found the trapped/restrained vamps. True, he is big and the Mayor probably has a bunch of magic spells he can use even in his new form, although it could take him a long time to figure out which ones they are...

Good point about him being a 'Greater Demon'. Added a paragraph to make it clear that even with surprise and that first groundbreaking pile-drive into the side of the bluff, Superman might've lost if he hadn't already armed the explosives and moved them into place on/near the bluff before the Mayor's transformation.

Thanks :)
