Review of chapter "a statement that struck like a blow" from bookworm
Review:
Another quite intriguing story, and a different way to look at Luna. It would be interesting to see further ramifications of this perhaps, but it does work quite well as it is, too. Keep writing, regardless.

Review of chapter "a statement that struck like a blow" from JamesBrown
Review:
thank you for your very nice response to my review.
but if you did continue with this idea,
I think it would probably work best as vignettes
loosely connected and scattered through the books
rather than one continuous story
that way you don't have to worry too much about
the plot and just add things as your muse dictates.

( and just because I liked the dessert, doesn't mean
you have to bake me a entire cake... so no worries )

Review of chapter "a statement that struck like a blow" from draconis
Review:
.
Nice change-up on the characters...all around. I like the idea of Luna throwing around a bit of Power after having publicly encouraged the "Looney" persona.

Although...I wonder if canon Voldy would even be smart enough to recognize the danger he's in. Then again, the strategic and tactical thinking exhibited by the adults in Harry Potter always seemed inordinately deficient, so maybe ol' Morty wasn't that different.

Review:
Nice! If you do more with this, I'd love to see if Luna's gift changes Harry in the long term and what happens after.

Review of chapter "a statement that struck like a blow" from JamesBrown
Review:
truly lovely.
Completely different, and at the same time
completely in character, perfectly explaining
her appearance, behavior and back story without any
contradictions right up to that point in the book. bravo!
I have already downloaded it to my Kindle.

I give it a nine only because of my disappointment it's so short
(of course that's part of the reason it works so well)
too many writers just ramble on and on until you lose interest
(although I will admit to really enjoying some of the epics also)
so I really wouldn't mind if you expanded this.. Hint
Comments from author:
Thank you for your kind words, JamesBrown. It especially made me smile that you downloaded it to your Kindle - that you'd want to re-read this little fic again. *grin*

As for going farther with, I honestly don't know. I stumbled across the story while moving files on the computer and had really mostly forgotten I had written it at all - so I don't have anything further reaching for this in mind right now. And with so many WIP already, including one that is heavily Harry-based (Flowers & Time) and one that is heavily Luna-based (Potential Reached) - I don't know if I should start one that has the two of them as co-leads as well.

(That is of course if the idea doesn't just start percolating in my brain and then not leave me alone for a few days, resulting in a bender of writing. *laughs* That has happened before.)

So, thank you again for reviewing - and your lovely words. (And sorry for my rambling.)

Review of chapter "a statement that struck like a blow" from Rich
Review:
Fantastic, in at least two different senses of that word. I always thought that Luna had hidden depths.
Comments from author:
*laughs* That she does - it's one of the reasons Luna is my favorite HP character. I am glad you enjoyed my take on her in this little fanfic, Rich. And thank you for taking the time to review - I appreciate the feedback.

Review of chapter "a statement that struck like a blow" from TaraLi
Review:
Now, *THAT* is a beautifully fey Luna! Just awesome!
Comments from author:
Thank ya, TaraLi. I was debating whether to even post it when I stumbled across the file - I wrote it a while ago and already have quite a few other Luna fics - but am glad now that I decided to go ahead with it. *smiles* Makes me wonder if I should do something with a few of the other stories hanging around unposted.

Oh well, I shall worry about that another time. Sorry for rambling TaraLi - and thank you again for reviewing!
