Review of chapter "Chapter Eleven." from poe
Review:
By coincidence, I ran across a review of this story in which you were speculating on where it was set. All of the street names and police station names were taken from Albany New York. I just thought you'd like to know.
Comments from author:
Interesting, thank-you,

Review:
What's with the need to rhyme?
My kids do that, all the time!
Not that I'm really all that good,
but I can still do it, when I should.

I now suspect that perhaps the reason
that Buffy ends up with Spike for a season
(after Willow brings her back from the dead)
is that, somehow, in the back of her head
she remembers Belker, and the incredible sensations
of her demon-lust and their carnal relations.

The strength of her longing for her incubus-addiction
is enough to eclipse all emotions since her return to "perdition."
What she feels is all "hot and itchy" still,
So she needs to find a demon, her emptiness to fill.

OK, my brain is now burnt out on the rhyming as it is nearly 11:00 at night, so the rest of the review will be in standard prose format. Since you opined that she was probably sent to her own world's past, is it at all possible for her to find Belker again? Does an incubus age at the same rate as a human, or would he be relatively unchanged by the passage of time? Wouldn't that be a shock, for him to run into her again some 20+ years later? Would her memories of him return or would she even feel some sort of recognition of him? If she wouldn't even know him, it would be just cruel for them to meet up again, but if the memories would be able to break through, I think that she probably would be able to come to care for him (if not actually love him) since she decided that she loved Spike, and Mick has the advantage of never even attempting to hurt her and hers. Hmm. Could an incubus be considered an "Immortal"? Nah, that wouldn't work since I can't even imagine Mick with the vamp set, even if he were around at that point. Whatever. =]
Comments from author:
Now this is very interesting. I would imagine that Belker wouldn't age as we understand it...whoever heard of a geriatric sex demon? Although I have no plans for a follow up to this story you bring up some good points. BTW, the actor who played Belker (sorry I'm no good at actors names) played the studio 'Manager', 'Editor' in 'Deep Impact' (sorry but I like disaster movies/books) so that could be another fic...along with 'Towering Inferno' or 'EARTHQUAKE!' both 70's classics.

AGH! My head's exploding with ideas!

Very insightful review, thank-you.

Cheers,
D

BTVS & Hill Street Blues,
Kept me reading & drinking my booze.
I enjoyed the story, this crossover fic,
Until you paired up Buffy & Mick.
Still enjoyed the story, a lot, okay.
Hope this works on rhyming review day.
Comments from author:
Not bad.

The basic story idea went through many changes. However most were dismissed as being too obvious (at least to me), so Belker ended up as Buffy's demon lover and Howard ended up as the Councils contact.

Cheers,
D.

Like poor Kenny on "South Park"
Buffy gets killed yet again,
But at least she got to make her mark
on the Hill and help Belker get his men. :)

Review:
The quick ending was a little unexpected with the Hill still in siege.
Comments from author:
Ok yes, there is a certain, 'What happened next?' question that maybe should be answered. But once Buffy has died that's sorta it. However, in other stories in the series (not yet posted) were Buffy lives on after the main story things get a more 'complete' ending. But it always ends with Buffy's death so she can be resurrected in time for season six.

An unitended concequence of the way I set up the series idea.

Cheers,
D.

Review:
Poor buffy she dies again only to rises some where esle.
Becker loses a friend in a bust of drugs and all the police get attack by a frenzied mob. And I lost the rhythm so bow now to the tide .

any hints on your next story?
Comments from author:
The next fic in this series will be very British humour with Buffy in India in 1895.

The next fic to post with be in my 'Grim Up North 2' series...aliens in the shopping mall! Oh the HORROR! This story also involves Buffy dressing up as a 'naughty schoolgirl'!

Cheers,
D.

Poor Belker... finds love, solves the case, still ends up alone... Sucks to be him.

Sadly, slayers have to die
And the good guys have to cry.

Great tale... or tail... I had a very good time...
Doing the ally in the alley's great too, even if it doesn't rhyme!

I had fun with this.
It will be missed.

Dying in a drug bust gone wrong seems wrong.
It fits per Buffy Luck, but maan, that ain't good Luck :(.

Aaaargh, I think that's enough with the rhyme for today xD.
Any chance to see Buffy finding Belker in a sequel??.
Cool fic, see ya!!!.
Comments from author:
A bit difficult as she's dead...or been resurrected and doesn't remember anything.

Don't worry about the poems, never could do them myself.

Cheers,

Review:
Poor Belker, no love for the man.
Buffy's honest, it's more than he can stand.
He deserves better
He won't forget her
She should give the man a chance
And not just focus on his pants...

While the town goes up in flames...
Nothing's ever gonna be the same...

This time for a change
Howard didn't cause the rage.

Hope Buffy and Belker can catch the perpetrator.
Before he turns the city into an incinerator.

Did the mayor turn bad and do a spell?
Only in Buffy's town, it's almost hell.

Is greed the thing that brings the seed
of misery and death with speed?

note: medical terminology of 'total failure of all organs' = 'multi-organ failure'.
Comments from author:
Had a second bite of the cherry, huh?

Medical stuff noted. That's why I try to keep away from it or copy directly off a show if I'm doing a medical fic...reminds me, I've been meaning to do a 'Mercy' xover. After all its got 'dawn' in it.

Cheers,
D.

Review:
I like it when Buffy and Mick get laid.
I feel like I just got paid.

I live vicariously through the two
And it's all because of you...

Gah... I suck at this.

Best line ever:

no plan survives contact with the enemy…or in this case incubus Detectives.

It made me howl. (I don't know of any word that rhymes with howl except maybe cowl)
Comments from author:
Rhyming dictionaries are always useful but off the top of my head I can't think of anything that rhymes with 'Howl'.

Glad you liked,

Cheers,

What a reminder that there's plenty of non-magical, purely human evil going around . . . and that some of the evil-doers and evil-planners wear very expensive suits and hold important positions! Double yikes, DM!
Comments from author:
Oh yes indeed, Penfold, man is quite evil enough without demons.

Didn't Nero supposedly do that to Rome when he wanted to do a rebuilding project? Or was that just so he could get in the mood for his music lesson for the week?

Same thing happened in London in 1666 I believe it was. We got all those pretty churches and such.

So the freaking politicians are behind the Demon Dust drug??. Oh yeah, that's something I can really believe, because it has happened before :S.
Nice to see Buffy & Mike having fun and doing one heck of a job. And yeah, I see Buffy as an attacking midfielder; I mean she has the agressive streak, superior vision and skill necessary for that.

Cool chapter, see ya!!!.
Comments from author:
Actually I think that's what I made her for Slade United, I'll have to check.
