Review of chapter "The Lion, the Walsh, and the Laboratory" from DieselDriver
Review:
But.. But... But... It's obviously incomplete. There's no actual lion. You need the lion from that movie company, perhaps as a guy who says "I want to see a movie" and then roars.
Comments from author:
Snagglepuss is a *mountain* lion. The episode titles often had 'lion' in them; for example 'Live And Lion', 'Fraidy Cat Lion', 'Cagey Lion', 'The Roaring Lion', and 'Legal Eagle Lion'. I'm just carrying on the tradition established by Hanna Barbera.

Review:
Oh! Can you do another chapter where she creates Groot and Rocket?
Comments from author:
Problem - I haven't seen 'Guardians of the Galaxy' yet. Maybe once it's on Sky Movies I might be inspired... although there is another problem. Marvel exists in the Teraverse and therefore Marvel characters are fictional and copyrighted there. If she did create Groot and Rocket then Marvel would sue the Collective.

Review of chapter "The Lion, the Walsh, and the Laboratory" from fpb
Review:
Well, that would settle Walsh's hash for good. One more such successful experiment (a duck and a sailor? With an uncle spliced with a duck and a Victorian businessman?) and the Collective would have her delivered to Danielle Atron with a pretty bow on top of the package and a store-bought card saying "enjoy your birthday present!"
EDITED IN: To try and take the duck's uncle's finances would be the most catastrophic mistake the Collective had ever made or will ever make. Remember what happened when Goldie tried it? "Nobody takes gold from Scrooge McDuck! There's gonna be a hot time in the old town tonight!"
Comments from author:
Although the duck's uncle could make a major contribution to the Collective's finances. And if she genetically modified a coyote it could come up with an amazing series of ingenious devices - which would, alas, go catastrophically wrong when put into use.

Review:
.
Days later in her off-world lab, Nirrti looked at two of Walsh's latest starts at creating a Hok'taur and muttered, "Well, what else should I expect when I setup a fake NID operation for an insane Goa'uld scientist like 'Bastet' and let her do all the prep work?".

Meanwhile, insane scientist #2 (aka Loki) spying with its cloaked sensor in Nirrti's lab simply thought, "Hmm. improving our genetic diversity with pink fur may be just the answer to our DNA problem.".
Comments from author:
I'm not going to write a 'Thor becomes the Pink Panther' story... wait... "he's a gentleman, a scholar, and an acrobat and commander of the Asgard Fleet..."

Review:
Heavens to Murgatroid. This was a laugh and a half....

But you really should read Diane's Whately-verse stuff. it took me forever to get around to it but it's awesomely addictive.
Comments from author:
Thank you!

I have no intention of reading any of the Whateley-verse stuff; I'm not really into super-hero stories and what I read about the Whateley-verse on TV Tropes made it sound very much not my cup of tea. The trouble with a multi-author shared 'verse is that inevitably it ends up at the level of the least talented writer.

Review:
You are a sick and twisted person. I say this with great respect :-)

So in this AU how did the swim team experiment end up?
Comments from author:
Thank you!

I don't think there was any equivalent of the swim team experiment in this 'verse but you'd have to ask Diane to get a definitive answer; it's her 'verse, I'm only playing in it.

Review of chapter "The Lion, the Walsh, and the Laboratory" from CrystalBlaze
Review:
It gets worse..

Her efforts at making a cat-spliced commando got her shot by a kit-bashed phaser.

(The Catians, thank the Star Trek animated series for that one.)
Comments from author:
I watched only one episode of the animated series; 'The Slaver Weapon'. I hated it, feeling that the integration of the Kzinti into the Star Trek universe was a stupid idea that was handled badly, and I refused to watch any further episodes.
