Review of chapter "White Knight takes Rook's Queen" from (Current Donor)Starfox
Review:
Very good chapter. I love teh Background for the Lovegoods, and the scenes where Xeno cleans up. Xander worrying, and getting the rusty knife speech was very entertaining.

Review of chapter "In League with a Redhead" from (Current Donor)Cordyfan
Review:
Faith has a great deal of healing still to do, but at least she's started to open up. Now if only she can apply some of the sort of reasoning to herself that she's been using on Ron... At least the Weasley family are a supportive bunch.

Thanks for writing this

Review:
Your Faith and Ron are both so sad. I really hope they can help each other.

Odd thought (or maybe not that odd)... Coldplay's "Fix You" was playing in my head for most of this chapter.

Review of chapter "In League with a Redhead" from Dmitri
Review:
Well, this was a wonderful chapter. Molly and Arthur got to express themselves (and embarass Ginny), Ron and Faith got some things off their chests, and there was a nice tie-in with a previous chapter too, so to speak. Thanks for sharing this.

Review:
This is such fun. It makes so much sense that Molly has such an earthly sense of humor!
Good Stuff!

Review:
Wonderful! It's always a pleasure to read more of this story, and you've provided interesting insights into the Weasley brood as well as Faith. I had to chuckle at Molly actually having a rather bawdy sense of humor, which you don't often see in fan fics. Very curious to see what happens next in the story

Review of chapter "White Knight takes Rook's Queen" from Meneldur
Review:
Wow. This was... well, quite a bit darker and more powerful than the previous ones.

I enjoyed how nervous Xander was - given how many times he must have given the shovel speech, it's understandable he'd be nervous to be on the other side. I also enjoyed Luna's carefree attitude, that is so earnest at the same time - "Either we’re all heroes, or none of us are" is one of the most powerful sentences I have read in fiction. I enjoyed Xeno's similarity to her, and how he was willing to play with Joyce while Xander and Luna chased each other around. It was very sweet.

Xeno threatening Xander was brilliant, especially how serious and frightening he was, and most especially Xander's reply about permission. Given Luna's history, of course, Xeno's reaction is quite reasonable, and Xander's is much more poignant.

The conversation in the tent was reminiscent of the entire tone of the fic - a wistfulness, memory of the good times that passed, and happiness at having overcome the darkness, despite the pain from it, moving onwards into better days.

Then... it got really dark. That was absolutely horrible. Very powerful, but I do not want to read it again. Justice was served, but I could find no joy in it, not for the pain that brought that justice. It was necessary, and that is the saddest and most tragic thing about it - that there were creatures that such justice was needed for.

We all pay for our sins and for the sins of others, but they seemed to have all - well, not recovered, but grown. And Xander is already seeing uses for these positions that they may need, and as Luna ends, they have a family now. And what more is needed?

Review of chapter "White Knight takes Rook's Queen" from (Current Donor)Cordyfan
Review:
Interesting chapter - not the background I'd have expected for Xeno. Highly appropriate end for Crabbe, Goyle and their fellows. Though Xander had also better take care of Luna...

Thanks for writing this

I'm enjoying this a great deal. Your interweaving is paced well in that I'm not losing track of the other characters. I assume that you'll get to Giles sooner or later? And let us find out what became of Andrew and Robin?
