Review of chapter "Meta Nuts" from Vld
Review:
Larry has Mari's powers... "changing"? You really want us to believe he/she... "may change"? Let's see. Water-activated gender change? Check. Multiple dating possibilities? Apparently both male and female? Check. An annoying panda? Check. Hateful little black pig? Check, re-check, and re-re-check.

From the second you wrote he "changed gender" with water, i've been checking Mari's profile. Unless every site i found (about ten, including wikipedia) considers her such an unimportant character that they wouldn't bother noting a propensity to gender-shift, i've been going "okay, he pulled a Rumiko". Then i checked twice to see if i read correctly. Yep, Lary DID put on a Japanese School GIRL uniform.

My guess is he got affected by P-chan, because otherwise i've got no idea how he could suffer a Jusenkyo.

Makes me wonder if he hides a Neko-Ken.

Oh, and that story's pretty fun.
Comments from author:
Larry was part of a "Jocks dress as girls" agreement, and, Mari's costume was what he wore. Reality at Halloween was really messed-up, so, 'he' was Mari, but found herself dressed in the original BtVS pirate costume. With the full abilities of Mari, who was a homage to (Ken? in) "Fist of the North Star", but, even with Mari being incredibly good she couldn't stand-up to A-ko.

Dawn and the others trying to patch-up the messed-up reality. Eris (Joyce) throwing around transformation attacks in the big fight in the Library. Larry just had the (really ridiculous) martial arts abilities of Mari up to that point. After that, Eris-gender change magic and the stapled-together multiple version of Sunnydale mutated poor Larry even more. Basically, he became Ranma, without any need for cursed pools. Ford became (a female piglet) Ryoga, which you could say is more than he deserved. :)

I don't _think_ Larry has got a Neko-ken, seeing as he's already got Ranma and Mari martial arts, but, who knows! :)

Thanks for feedback.

This is for the entire series, not just this story.

Fun series. Thanks for quite the momentary diversion from the mundane.

Interesting writing style...and it worked quite well for you in this case. Kind of a mix of detailed imagery at times along with "lecture notes" abbreviated sentences and thoughts.

The context and visual of Travers reacting with/to a "scurry" of squirrels up his trousers was one of the highlights of the series.

Whistler selling the Deed to the Universe was another (I'd buy that for a dollar!). I thought it a good yet understated point that with the $1 transfer you made it become a legally binding contractual sale (at least in the USA of this universe). Gave the plot element a little more oomph than if he'd just given them the deed(s); although I suspect most readers wouldn't note the distinction. It does raise the question of just whom/what is the new CEO?
Comments from author:
The writing style comes from lots of ref-ing. Tabletop pencil & paper role-playing games. I think. Maybe. [grin]

Part of the idea behind this story was to throw-up a number of images, that might give some hints about what chucking an invincible Buffy into the Buffyverse would do. I wasn't convinced it would work, as a story, but, I gave it a go. [grin]

One of the big problems, often unrecognised, is that owning something also makes you responsible for it. Universal tax bills - could be nasty...

Pity Deadpool turned down the tax inspector job...

Looks like Giles is the founder of Slayerverse Inc. And, the Summers family could be the shareholders.

So, anyone want to buy a second-hand universe, one careful owner?

Bit of a fixer-upper, good commuter links, popular area. [grin]

(No, while you might be able to tell a few side-stories in this setting, I really think it is best left alone. Offer withdrawn. [grin])

Thanks for (series; series-ous?) feedback.

NO! By all the Odd Gods of the Galaxy, that can't be the end! You can't end with a totally abominable pun. Your series has been too much insane fun to end now. I want more Buffy and Cordy with tails! More Faith and Kendra interactive goodness. Maybe more updates later? Please?

Even if there are no more updates, thanks for the many laughs and groans.
Comments from author:
This series wasn't really supposed to exist at all...

Yes, I can confirm it, this has now ended. Though, I'm going to do a final read-through of the entire 'Nuts' series, and possibly modify/extend the final chapter, if I missed something.

It started with nuts (and chocolate), so it seemed only reasonable that it finish with chocolate. [grin]

Still, it's given me some time to think about my other series, 'Dawn Jumps', and while that's nothing like as silly, I'd like to think I can now do a better job of continuing with it.

But, as a reward to loyal readers:

Silence bad, reviews good!

[Later Edit:
Final read-through done, and final edits of 'End Nuts', the last chapter. Any further edits will be for syntax and spulling mistakes.

Okay. So no villain team up until the sequel?
Comments from author:
Bit of a shortage of villains to team-up, wouldn't you think?

And, who would stand against Squirrel Girl, and her loyal sidekick, Monkey Joe?

[innocent expression]

No, I'm not going to bring Deadpool into things. [grin]

Thanks for feedback.

[Later Edit:
OK, because you asked, I added a Deadpool cameo. Right? [grin]

What the?

Did Kendra and Faith just time travel to the past?

Keep up the insane work.
Comments from author:
I did say that the Powers-That-Be had thrown everything, and the kitchen sink, at the problem. [grin]

Feedback, it is, yes.

Marvelman/Miracleman? Okay, here is a villain potentially way more dangerous than anyone else. Thankfully, Sunnyhell now has Squirrel Girl and Dawn.
Comments from author:
The one to be really, really, scared of is, Johnny Bates, Kid Marvelman/Miracleman:

Still loving your insane story. But where is Ms Calendar? I love Jenny or Jana and love fics where she and/or Joyce don't die. Maybe to add to the chaos Giles could have both as girlfriends? That would certainly totally freak the Scoobys out. Lol!
Comments from author:
Read Chapter 2, 'Right Nuts' again - Jenny appears briefly. Twice! [grin]

Just a hint - Joyce has blonde hair, and Jenny has dark... And, Jenny tends to be more snarky to Giles.

Commenting appreciated.

Well, it would be nice to have everything in a single story. And some short summaries of who is who, for those who are in a hurry and can't visit more than one webpage at a time, stupid cell phone...
Comments from author:
Unfortunately I can't give a list of who has what super powers, without spoiling things that I can't explain, because that'd spoil them.

When I read tth on a phone, I try and stick to stories where I already have quite a good idea what's going on. Unfortunately, this story probably doesn't fall in that category...

The other thing I do is read the chapter, look-up the links, then read the chapter again. Though, that doesn't tend to work if you're in a hurry.

Otherwise I tend to wait until I've got at least use of a tablet to read tth.

Feedback appreciated.

[Later Edit: OK, I've figured-out a way to add something about the characters, in the Author Note, without trashing what might happen in later chapters.
Again, thanks for the suggestion.
