Review of chapter "Part Six: Revelations" from dreameralways
Yay! An update. This is such a fun little story.
I really wonder how the "pureblood" oriented members are going to respond to Willow, who is arguably the most powerful witch on Earth, yet has no family history of magic. Or if they find out about Dawn's origins, how they'll respond to that since compared to her, they are the "mudbloods" just because they are human, while she was created from pure magic and energy.
Still greatly enjoying this story and look forward to more.

Narcissa. She can be wonderful, devious, sneaky, kind, manipulative, maternal, sexy, and so very much more. So many writers are unable or unwilling to exploit her potential. That makes this extra delicious.

I'm trying to come up with proper adjectives for what this was like to read and I can't because they keep running over one another in my mind.

Just know I can't wait for the next update. *breathless*

Still quite interested in this story & looking forward to more! And thanks for the explanation in my last review :)
Comments from author:
There's definately more. I've lived with the story in my head for six years, so it's easy for me to forget that I haven't clarified things in print that I have in my head. :)

Review of chapter "Part Three: Handing Off the Keys" from (Recent Donor)Luna
Real interesting story. I'm a fan of Narcissa & Draco so I'm looking forward to see how they fit in. Only one point of contention is having 6 young children ages 2-9-- Remember how Buffy was sickened that Kendra was taken from her parents at a young age? She and Giles would never take children away from their families, not until puberty kicked in and they really needed to be trained... sorry, that part just took me out of the story for a moment and I had to comment.

Good stuff otherwise!
Comments from author:
As to the younger kids, I probably didn't explain them well. They all have either been orphaned or lost to their families in some way. Either they were potentials that had already been taken (7 and up) or were already set up to be 'observed' by the old Council. In this case, it's merely a stopping point until their real families or next of kin can be located. Tink is the youngest to be moved taken into their care, once again, because they don't know who she is. Her family is gone, which is why she is in their custody. The age of 2 was thrown in there because I wasn't sure how old I was going to make her at the time. She ended up being slightly older.
For most of them, it's basically like a summer camp (because it is set in the summer between books 5 and 6) - learning who they are as newly activated slayers. Millicent and Tink (because of their situations) are more permanent fixtures in the Manor, which is in part why Narcissa personalized their room.
All of the slayers moving into the Manor have had their lives threatened on an individual basis, which is part of the reason they're coming together even if it is temporary. For each of the 55 underage slayers (which aren't including the dozen or more so still at the old Hq), there's still hundreds who opted not to go to the training camp and remain with their families.

Review of chapter "Part Six: Revelations" from burmafrdnow
With Vooldemort still around I am AMAZED that Giles would be leaving the dealing with him to the idiots of the ministry. Or that Buffy would stand for that. Right now that manor is a huge target.
Buffy would tell giles this: First we get rid of the big bad THEN we bring in all these vulnerable girls and paint a juicy target on them.
Comments from author:
He's not. And when Giles aquired the property, he had no idea he was gaining the Malfoys in the deal. He'd also been so busy helping to squash the First that he wasn't aware that things had gotten so bad in the Wizarding World.
Giles has something up his sleeve to keep those under his protection safe.

This is such an interesting story. I am really hoping that you come back to it one day soon. I like the idea of Narrisa helping the slayers. She could do a lot of good I think. Anyway I look forward to more when you decide to come back to this.

Cool story. Is Dawn going to play a larger part later on in the story?

Review of chapter "Part Five: Homecoming" from WolfWriter
Well, since placing a spell on the kids doesn't work, how about placing a spell on an object that they're attached to? Like a Raggedy Ann doll for Tink, or a piece of jewelry for the other girls?

How about dream catchers? I'm surprised that no one thought of those. They're supposed to capture bad dreams at night, and then the dreams are destroyed in the light of the sun in the morning.

Or an invocation to whichever deity is in charge of dreams for little kids. That might work.

Love the story. Tink sounds like a little cutie.

If they really want to find out her name, all they have to do is search for a birth certificate with her footprints on them. It should have been scanned into the system when she was born, shouldn't it?

They are definitely going to need advice of all kinds. I can't wait to see what Mrs. Malfoy give them.

And there is something extra cute about toddlers saying "boy toy".

Review of chapter "Part Five: Homecoming" from Angelfirenze
You mention my hometown and place of current residence no less than three times, for which I adore you. Which leads to my wondering whether Oak Park or Dearborn (cities nestled so closely to Detroit, geographically they might as well be the same place) is the wizarding town you spoke of.

But anyway, this was just plain awesome. Tink is so cute. I love that she's gotten attached to Millicent, of all people. I really hope the Howarts slayers can get their acts together soon, though, and realize they need solidarity to get through everything that's coming their way.

Also, Draco being called a boy-toy: PRICELESS.

Again, no hope of Connor showing up in any capacity, huh? His being the lone male Slayer would confuse Narcissa and Draco even further, not the least of which being that he's the son of two vampires, himself, and everything that's basically happened to him -- not the least of which his supposedly being four or so years old, Earth timeline-wise.

Comments from author:
1. I'm from the D, so I pimp it in fic and rl as much as I can. *vbg*
2. Tink has a very large spot in her little heart for all things Slytherin. That is one of the main hold-overs from the six year old outline. It was supposed to take a lot longer for her to be introed. Impatient little witch that she is, she rushed it.
3. The other Hogwarts witches are still recovering from the whole Umbridge/goon squad issues, but the big slayers will smack sense into them soon, or Narcissa will have to do something drastic about it.
4. Connor may show up. This is set pretty much in-canon for the buffyverse, so right now he's being all carefree Connor Rielly. But who knows? its still early in the fic. Millicent was never supposed to show up, and she's front and center.

glad you like this chapter. It took me five days to write, and there were times I absolutely hated it. It's a love-hate thing still. *g*
