Review of chapter "Pilgrimage (Part I) (Commencing)" from (Current Donor)IntoOblivion
Review:
Just wondering, but considering all the 'coincidental' meetings various members of this Trio have had with Lara Croft wouldn't one of them have noticed that she, as well as Kennedy resembles the girl in Buffys vision?

As far as I can tell so far the interractions between Willow, Buffy or Dawn and Lara have been:
- Buffy finds her 'following' Willow about at some point in S7
- Willow analyses the data Faith gained from Lara and (I assume) sees the photos Faith took, Dawn meets her on the plane with Faith and has a long chat (since this is not mentioned in Girl In A Bar, Buffy doesnt seem to have been told about this or realised its the same woman anyway)
- Buffy meets Lara at the reception in the museum
- Buffy interracts with Lara in China (I haven't got up to that story yet... so that I'm kinda guessing)
- Willow leaves on her pilgramage not knowing from where her prophecised help will come, due to Wiccan intervention Lara and she end up at the same shrine.

To be fair this is probably explained in a later part of the series (I'm still only half way through) and perhaps the connection isn't made because only Giles knows all the seperate pieces. But with Buffy having her curiosity about the woman raised by her coincidentally having met a person on Giles' list it might, perhaps have come up... I dunno. I guess as its only really Buffy that knows about all/most of the meetings, its probably just that she hasn't made the connection between a random mysterious woman who seems unconnected to the evil underworld and a prophecy about the end of the world. She is, after all, action girl... not the one who puts all the puzzle pieces together.
Comments from author:
Why didn't Buffy connect Lara to the woman in her slayer dreams?

Hmm... none of them have really had enough contact with Lara at "this" point in the series to make the connection. It'll happen eventually. :-).

Review:
Noooo.....need...more.

Given that i also went to your website, i hope willow and lara's first dialog will be alright.

Very good story so far, i loved "perci" too btw, though both are atmosphere heavy fic, and somewhat lacking in action, but i guess given that i am male and love mangas, i read too much action.

Excellent work!
Comments from author:
Thanks for the comments. I keep meaning to work on this but after the next part it merges with the story line in "The Other Girl" so I have to finish that one first, and THAT one merges with the characters from 'The Apprentice' before that happens and I haven't finished THAT one. So they're all tied up together. And 'Perci' follows from the sequel to this whole mess. So...

When are you going to continue this? It's actually pretty good and would love to be able to finish reading it IF you will finish writing it.

Excellent series of stories you have here, I'm trying to read them in the order they take place rather than when they were written which I've found also add to the whole epic.

Hope you can see yourself writing some more soon. Power to your muses.

This is very good writing. I look forward to reading more. I am reading the rest of the series. I got confused as to where the pilgrimage part was, but I found it in the latter part of this one. Have you been too busy to write more lately? Are you still planning to continue this fic? Keep up the wonderful writing.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the comments.

Yes. This will continue, I'm just working on a different part of the series right now (I'm trying to keep the different on-going parts in sync. After I get the current Buffy-centric part done I'll go back to Willow's part of the story.) Eventually the stories will all merge together.

Hey Nice to see that the story has been update:D

The story still has many mysteries, what is it that Willow is searching for, what the connection is between Willow and Lara, and now what has happened to Willow?

I'll have to wait for the next installment to find out her fate, and the connection between Lara and her.

keep up the good work

Oooh... What happened to Willow? I hope I don't have to wait a year and a half to find out. :) I was hoping that she and Lara would finally meet in this part. You keep bringing them closer together, but so far it's like watching Achilles race the tortoise.
Comments from author:
Well... you don't really want me to answer that do you? :)

They do meet... very soon. By the end of this part... they are only feet apart... and closing rapidly (Or at least Lara is... Willow has other problems at this point.)

It definitely won't be a year before the next part is finished. I would really like to get the entire series done before my next birthday so I can focus on the Dawn-centric series that follows. :)

Review:
Well, that was certainly a long prologue. =] That's not meant to be criticism. Just a statement. I'm glad that the "actual story" is now in progress. I have to admit that you have been the one to actually spark my interest in Tomb Raider/Lara Croft. Never paid much attention to it before, but since reading your stories, I have gone out and rented both movies. So, I gotta say, thanks for writing! And now I'll wait patiently for the next part. =D
Comments from author:
Prologue length: One of those things. I wanted to 'insert' Lara Croft into the Buffyverse in an 'organic' fashion. Splitting up the prologue into four parts was the way that seemed to work best.

I'm trying to create a believable Lara Croft in this crossover. The movie depictions of her fit my style of fanfic writing better than the game version but I've borrowed from both.

There are a couple good Lara Croft fanfic writers out there though one of them only posts his fics to alt.fan.lara-croft. Mostly action heavy/sci-fi style stuff using the games as a backdrop.

Glad you're enjoying it. It'll be a few weeks before the next part (depending on progress with other fics of course).
