"After Harry Potter declined her invitation to visit her hometown, DADA professor Willow Rosenberg put a check mark where her lesson planner, left by her DADA predecessors, read "Attempt to kill Harry Potter."
I think it was that one sentence that made this short fic for me.

I think that second one in this chapter definitely deserved a rimshot. Your ficlets read almost like story synopses, but somehow are self-contained. Perhaps you will consider them story challenges for yourself or others to get to something longer.
