Or perhaps not so established... hmm. Why faith though? Kendra was the next one in the orrigonal series and you were obviously willing to skip her, so why not go full hotdog and make an OC? Though I suppose this does take care of the main problem with faiths charactor with out having the shadow of her watchers violent sacrifice hanging over her...

...More like it's his first time casting the spell and he only a beginner so he's lucky he isn't D.E.A.D! And besides, even as irresponcible as Lina is with magic, wouldn't she have put that at the back of the black arts section as it's nearing the hardest of spells to cast?

Pretty interesting idea to start with, especialy since it did not use the Halloween costume as a setup for Xander to learn the magic in the first place. I am more then a bit disapointed with how the story went after Buffy's return for the summer though. She went entirely back to canon like nothing happend, Xander got kidnapped like he didn't do anything defend himself from a few lousy vampires. Not mention I never understood why all the 'big meetings' were done in a libary.. where any vampire can come and attack them while a house would at least be secure due to lack of invites.
Over all I think the story was off to a pretty good start then it fell into the trap most fics do, following canon dumbly while trying to have really AU characters.

This has been a blast to read so far. I hope you continue it sometime in the future...The Willow as Ranma bisexual comment was a real hoot. You need to continue along with this. A Jusenkyo cursed willow just has so many fun possibilites. Especially is she is channeling Ranma's personality a bit.
