Review:
Thought I'd reviewed this, apparently not.

Absolutely wonderful comedy - makes a LOT of sense.

Another great fic. You worked with a really badly written and plotted episode and made it work. Good job. I liked your story much better than that episode.
Comments from author:
Thanks. Looking back at the episode now, I feel it's main problem was it's positioning - had it been earlier in the season, I think people would have loved it. It's just that being that close to the end of everything, we all wanted something much more serious, arc-related and not to feel that Joss and co wasted an episode.

Regarding your comments on my review. It's actually very easy to disregard canon, especially when it's just talking not action. Look at all the fics that decide that Fred's soul wasn't really destroyed. You simply decide that the person speaking isn't telling the truth or doesn't knpow completely what's going on. I hope you write a sequel to this fic where the Scoobies discover how big a bunch of fools they were after Not Fade Away.

First off, let me out myself as someone who really enjoyed that Angel episode. I laughed my head off for 42 minutes straight during that one. Never mind that it never made sense why Spike didn't rush off to wherever Buffy was when he became corporeal again.
But to you story:
I liked it very much. It put such a neat twist on canon facts. Granted having the Dead Boys (hilarious! Dead Boy 2: The Platinum Menace :o)) fall for a fake W&H is hard to believe but never mind that.
Your aside about Giles talking to the Burkles and Fred being fine according to them was funny and heartbreaking at the same time.
Thank you for sharing this.

LOL, interesting take on that episode. I never even thought that the scoobys would pull off a scam like that. And really, Andrew's last scene in angel was good, I liked thinkning that he had grown up and changed for the better.
__
Still, I hope your write some sort of sequel, with it continueing after the last season of angel.

Review:
I honestly don't believe it. I never bought the thing where they don't trust Angel just because they run Wolfram & Hart. After all if not for the amulet that came from them Buffy's army of Slayers would've been overrun by the much larger army of Ubervamps. And just dismissing the claim of Fred's dying. If Willow really cared about Fred she would've checked personally. And of course there is the fact that death doesn't mean staying dead in the Buffyverse. And finally the fact that Angel could easily check with other heads of Wolfram & Hart branches about the Rome branch if he was really evil. It's well written but the plot doesn't hold up to examination in my opinion
Comments from author:
Well, at least you thought it was well written. And you might have a slight point on the Fred's dying bit. But I'm stuck by what's been shown or mentioned on screen. Angel season 5 clearly moved Buffy, Dawn and Andrew to Italy, and that the Scoobies/the Watcher's Council no longer trust Angel and the others. That's canon - I cannot change that, much as I wish. And Fred's death? When they phone and ask for help, Giles says Willow's busy. Giles! Probably the scoobie with the most intense dislike of Angel/Angelus ever since "Belonging". If he thinks Angelus is back, he won't be doing a thing to help.

It's canon - you can't just pick and choose which parts you're going to use.

Thank you!

Now the dumbest episode ever of Angel makes sense.

Thanks. :)

Something had to be done. PTFH! Let us never speak of that episode again!

Okay... there are so many funny moments in this fic I laughed almost the whole way through. I hope you intended it to be funny. :-). You made good use of all of the characters, especially Andrew.
Comments from author:
What? My pure Lovecraftian horror of screaming tentacles and unspeakable things lurking in the darkness just of out the corner of your eye, was laughed at?!!??

Oh wait... that's just Andrew.
