I'm liking this pairing more and more as I think about them. Sirius really needs a woman like Joyce. Please find the spark of this story and re-light it. I would love to read about what happens to them.

Oh i loved that. You forgot poor spike though, poor spike needing mothering and comfort and hot coco too! I really hope you turn this into a much longer story, I can't wait to see how buffy will react when all her spidey senses are saying "NOT A NORMAL DOG...SLAY" :D
Great start! You've set a great stage for some much-needed Joyce fic. Now that Sirius has shown up there will be dialogue? It's the only thing I missed in your last chapter, but I understand you're just laying the groundwork. Hope to read more soon; it has a lot of promise =)

yeah Joyce always did seem to be big hearted and ultra mom.. it's a cute start.. can't wait to see what happens next. Will Buffy be happy that her mom is picking up strays?

Very good! I enjoyed how you showed the various people (and animals) that Joyce has helped over the years. And having Dawn be adopted was a nice touch. As a Faith/Sirius fan, I haven't ever really considered Joyce/Sirius. But, considering they're closer in age than Faith and Sirius, I suppose I can see them together. At any rate, thank you for opening my eyes to a potential new 'ship. ;-)
