I think you've done a wonderful job writting this, and it's very plausable. Richard is an ass, and hates himself way to much for what explaination has been given in the stories.
I thought it was Edward at first. Then I figured Anita was way too upset. If it had been our Eddie-boy she just woulda got pissed off. What he does don't seem to effect her too awful much. I'm all the for the whole Richard is an asswipe train of thought. Frickin whinebox. grr.

Honestly, it's not a way that I'd ever considered Richard.
But the story was well written, and it worked well in the context. The hook (why did he have that vaccination?) worked well, and I could just see the pain that Anita must have been feeling. Ouch.

Your story was nicely done. Actually, it seems quite logical as I look back on your story's conclusion. As I started reading, I didn't originally think Richard was the Bad Guy but you actually make a good case. And your other characterizations matched canon quite closely. As I sort of said, your story is disturbing, but nicely done.
